Dr. Wiston was very professional. His staff at both the Yorktown and fishkill offices are a complete DISSERVICE to him. When you walk in (multiple times this has happened) they don’t not even lift their heads to acknowledge you for at least a full minute or two while you stand there. They consistently cut you off while speaking to you, whether on the phone or in person. Not to mention, when I asked them to send a pre procedure cost to Aetna DMO their response was “DMO doesn’t cover anything, you are fully responsible”. I made Dr. Wiston aware of this and he didn’t not agree with his staff. When I needed to have my procedure done in fishkill and my chart was in Yorktown I confirmed both locations sent/received the paperwork necessary for my surgery. Upon arrival I was not acknowledged for 15 mins until I stood in front of them again and told them my name, and what I was there for. They did not have the paper work I confirmed they had 2 weeks prior and told me I probably couldn’t have my surgery since they didn’t have what they needed. I had to call Aetna and have them fax over the paperwork again. This morning I was seen in Yorktown for a follow up. (When you call the Yorktown office on goggle it automatically transfers you to the fishkill office and no one mentions that when you make an appointment). When it came to calling in a rx- I informed them of which pharmacy it should be sent to. The covering MD sent it to two different pharmacies, none of which were correct. I fully understand this is not the staff’s fault. I voiced my frustrations to the receptionist in Yorktown office where I was again rudely told that she can’t help these communication issues between offices, then placed me on hold for more than 5 minutes. I honestly feel bad for these physicians.

My first visit to Ali Payami D.M.D M.D. Oral Surgeon in Yorktown , N.Y. The Office staff were very professional and very caring. The reception staff was very helpful with me in contacting my insurance department and worked with me to finalize all the paper work needed to proceed with my procedure. I was very impressed with the state of the art equipment on hand. . My procedure when very well. The Dr. called hrs after to follow up on me. I will highly recommend this Office and Dr. To all.

I needed to have all four wisdom teeth removed and went to Hudson Valley oral surgery/Dr. Wiston. My insurance company had some questions about the surgery before they could approve it, and the receptionist in this office was the most rude and uncooperative to assist me on multiple occasions in getting this information. In fact, she made no effort to help and washed her hands of the entire procedure, and told me to get the work done at my general dentist, who could not perform the complex procedure--and this was after waiting over a month for preapproval. I don't know about the quality of the Dentists here, but if the terribly unprofessional staff says anything it says that the bottom line, and not the customer, is what is important
