There was a situation occurring with a male employee at this place. About 9:30 am, my daughter went in to buy some supplies for her teaching at our church, and as she returned to the car, with no bag and purse and nothing in her hands, this employee was following her and asked where she put some bags of candy. How could she have taken candy without anything to carry it with? It turned out that he was following her during part of her time in the store, and felt that she was of suspicion, off the basis that she is African-American. This has ruined our whole family's day, and has led us to question the integrity of Hugo's. We are hoping this situation is handle thoroughly and correctly. My daughter doesn't fit into that stereotype. Sadly to say, this hasn't been the first situation with this employee. Last year, my daughter and I were doing the self-checkout and he was snooping around as we were scanning, as if we were hiding something. This was disturbing to hear as this reflects his behavior toward African Americans. We ask of your assertion to handle these events. Thank you.

Always have had good experiences at Hugo's no matter which location. The cakes are always a family favorite. The staff all the way from the cashier's to the bakery and baggers are great.

Nice deli and bakery. Carribou Coffee on site. Good selection of groceries.

I've been to this Hugo's and several of the Hugo's around town. I like the stores for the most part and the options, but workers are the rudest workers I've ever seen in a grocery store. The teenagers have attitudes and don't care. The older workers are MEAN to their younger coworkers and scold them in front of customers. Very awkward and unprofessional! No smiles, no hellos, nothing! I've seen one worker, Alexis, she works at the S Washington location who was sweet, friendly, and actually tried to have good customer service! I'm tired of giving my money to a company who doesn't train their employees.

This is a fine grocery store. This location is MUCH better than the others around town.
