This is the third time we've been here. I've always missed their Pepper w. Preserved Egg&Eggplant. It's really delicious and authentic. Their fish is delicious. Recommended dishesIf you are not used to salt, you can tell the chef to have less salt

Service was impeccable! They were really nice and helped with choosing dishes. Vibes were comfortable and unique, I liked the art and traditional Chinese instrumental music very relaxing. The food was undeniably delicious!! - fish with cucumber  soup: very nice smooth taste, bass fish very soft - cumin lamb : very good chewy - frog : addictive!! - eggplants  with garlic sauce: comforting and greasy - cold cucumbers sliced: refreshing - scallion pancake: crispy!!! Yummy

I don’t recommend the cold rice noodle liang fen because the texture is much harder than I expected it should be quite soft and jelly like. But other dishes we ordered are quite tasty, especially the salted egg yolk potato shreds. Be careful with the fresh pepper fish — it’s very numbing!

Ordered 2 dishes,  Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables &  Braised Beef Brisket with dried Beancurd, both tasted okay, not amazing but not bad, just okay.  The beef brisket dish had more than half of beef skin/ inedible fat. It isn’t supposed to be like that at all.  The Pork dish was also incredibly fatty, while I understand the dish is made with pork belly, but again way more fat than what I’m used to, more than half the dish was slices of just fat, it’s quite disgusting really.  I made a small complaint to our waitress but she straight said that’s just how they made it here and that’s just how it is. I disagreed but I didn’t take it any further. We were very disappointed in the restaurant’s service and the quality of food, and it isn’t cheap by any means.  These two dishes are very famous and traditionally Chinese and I know how they’re supposed to be because I’m very familiar with the cuisine.  Definitely won’t be coming back and We definitely would not recommend to anyone else.  Way Better food & service in Chuanlu Garden.

We had an amazing dining experience at HuNan Taste.  It was very busy and every table was full.   We were told it would be at least a 20 minute wait.  We ended up sharing one of the large family tables with a young Asian couple from Arizona.  They were super cute/friendly and it was pleasant to have a conversation with some young college students who weren't afraid to sit with people they didn't know.  We ordered cumin lamb - it was very flavorful and just the perfect amount of heat and cumin.  We ordered the eggplant and green beans- a non-spicy dish that was super yummy and cooked to perfection!  We ordered the braised beef and it was very tender and also had amazing flavors and just the right amount of heat.  The last dish we ordered was the sizzling tentacles and veggies.   This dish was wonderful.   We didn't even have any left! All of the dishes came with rice. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The service was great.  All of the dishes were lovely and great portion sizes.

My Chinese transfer student introduced me to this restaurant. Authentic 100% most of the time the majority of people in the restaurant are Asian it speaks volumes to the quality of the food. The staff are super friendly. They also recognize customers that are frequent visitors AND orders come out quick and tasting the same pretty much every time. My family and I are frequent visitors of this restaurant love it every time and we'll still go back. We actually start craving it after a while don't skip out please go!!

This is the best Chinese food I've ever had in the US. But this is the real deal, so all the bad reviews I think are from people who were expecting more "Americanized" Chinese food.  We got the whole fish with cabbage in chili oil exquisite, warm, sour, brothy, spicy with bean sprouts, the stir-fry beef seems so basic but it's a Hunan specialty and they had tons of cilantro , the eggplant in garlic sauce if you like eggplant, just do it, and the cold chili cucumber salad so refreshing and tangy!  Don't forget a pot of hot jasmine tea. I seriously can't wait to come back and eat our leftovers for dinner

I went there about half a year ago. As Chinese myself, actually Hunanese, I would say this place might be the most authentic Hunanese restaurant you can find in Orlando. If they bring you a dish and say that's how it is supposed to be made, trust them.  I went there again earlier this year, not that good any more, making me wonder if they had new chef...

This is the best Chinese restaurant i have tried so far. It is really good and authentic!!! I could not believe that the score is only 4.0. If you are Chinese, please please try this one when you visit Orlando.

Since I have arrived south Florida I have not been able to locate a good Chinese restaurant.   This one is so far the best Chinese restaurant I had in Florida. Wish I lived in Orlando. I would dine  here every week.
