We’ve been coming to the north shore for 4+ years and I can’t believe this is the first time we’ve been here! We came during the off season but it was still pretty busy. The service was quick and the staff were so nice, and I loved the decor and ambiance. The tacos were SO good and so filling. They’re pretty large and packed full with your choose of fixings. I was skeptical about the shells at first but they really worked. They were flavorful and a soft/crispy texture. We’ll be back in the summer and I’m already looking forward to coming back!
So good! Great value and quality for the price. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we were ordering. We had the pulled pork fry bread taco, the brisket fry bread taco, and a seasoned beef burrito it was enormous!. The fry bread was delicious, the meats were really good, and the toppings were fresh. We ordered ours to go and sat out front at ate. The only picture I took does not adequately depict the taco, but it definitely shows the freshness. This is our favorite meal we had in Grand Marais.
Busy little fry bread taco place, a bit pricey for what it is tacos, outstanding service and a nice atmosphere. They initially got my order wrong, but really bent over backwards to fix things right. I honestly thought the fry bread was a bit too dry/stiff and not fluffy and soft/pliable enough. The ingredients they use were top notch but limited, and the combinations were interesting. The Tatchos/nachos made with tater tots was a bit confusing and I really didn't care for it. The beans were dry and sticky and the rice was alright. I wouldn't order any of the same stuff again if I get to go back.
Food was good, fried taco was good but was too much fried dough for me. Needed more wet sauce flavor on it. I had the smoked pork and was great! Took a long time to get food. I would go back but will order ahead. Liked the cheese curds and jalapeños!!
Loved it! We arrived near closing time on a Saturday so it was packed! Even so, the wait time was not awful. Staff was pleasant and efficient. And wow, the fry bread taco wasn’t bad at all. Girlfriend enjoyed her corn tacos as well, but was a bit disappointed that the tortillas weren’t fried. Not a deal breaker, we’d definitely come back!
FANTASTIC tacos - we had both fry bread and crispy corn shell tacos and it was all awesome. Very delicious, high quality ingredients. The counter service was great and the food came out very quick.Food: 5/5
Woah... I love a good fry bread taco and this place absolutely nailed it! Great service, fun space, vegan options my husband said the fish and brisket tacos were incredible for non-vegans, and he knows his brisket. Absolutely a must stop in Grand Marais!
What an EXCELLENT discovery. Our frybread tacos were fresh made yummy full meals. They even had a veggie option! The service was fast & friendly. Cute tables outside for those of us avoiding indoor dining. Cant wait to visit them again to try other menu items.
It was definitely busy..but I love to see that! We took our food to go... we had a fry bread brisket taco and Burrito and the Nashville Hot curds! It was delicious! The restaurant gave such good vibes!!
Decent portion sizes, nice staff. The chimichonga was huge. Being able to basically build your own taco is nice for our veggetarian. The fish taco special and the chicken quessadilla were both dry.
