It's one of the best cities around and it shows with the people in charge of and representing this city. I feel very safe here people take great pride in where they live, work, & play. Too many great things to say about good ole Surf City USA and that goes for the people in office here too :)

I was visiting family and I heard the street sweeper pass by.  I ran out and was outside as the parking enforcement worker was getting out of her car.  i told her I was visiting and would move my car.  Without even looking at me she said "there's signs posted."  There were no signs on the street or any other streets.  There was a sign posted at the entrance to the neighborhood. I have tried to call the city and talk about it and I continually get directed to voicemail or other recorded messages. If this is how you treat visitors I won't be coming back.

Building and planning is full of wonderful people to work with, never had a problem here.

  You keep calling the building and code department and all you get is a recording and no one returns the calls.
  Almost like someone getting a salary and they are not there.
  Same thing with a lot of departments.  Do they work from home?  Are they on a continual vacation?
