Reservations are not required for most cruises but are highly recommended. (Some special cruises may require advance payment.) Space aboard the vessel is limited. Passengers without reservations are boarded on a first come first boarded basis as space permits. Call 810-984-1500 for reservations.
Seating aboard the boat is general admission. Every seat aboard is a good seat due to our panoramic windows and open top deck. Individual specific seating requests are not usually granted. Please notify us of any special needs for disabled access.
Tickets are purchased at the dock prior to boarding. Boarding begins approximately 20 minutes prior to sailing. Arrangements may be made to board slightly earlier if you require special assistance. We are not set up to accept credit cards at the dock. Cash, personal or company checks, or travelers checks are acceptable as payment.
The Huron Lady II is docked at 207 Water Street, on the south side of the Black River about three blocks from the Military Street Bridge in historic downtown Port Huron. The dock is located between Desmond Marine and The Great Lakes Maritime Center. Free parking is available in the Great Lakes Maritime Center parking lot, or in the unpaved section of the Great Lakes Pilot Association headquarters parking lot.
We recommend that you dress for the weather. Shirts & shoes are required. Flat soft-soled shoes are recommended for safe footing on deck.
We are able to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs that are no wider than 27 inches. Coast Guard regulations require raised coamings at all the doorways, so there are some obstructions for wheelchairs. There are two restrooms aboard. Unfortunately, they are not wheelchair accessible. It is helpful to call ahead if you need special assistance.
We sell a variety of soft drinks as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate and a variety of light snacks including hot dogs, chips, and candy bars. Beer, wine, and liquor are also available for adults. Please remember, we are a family operation, so appropriate behavior is expected. No outside food or beverages may be brought aboard.
Smoking will not be allowed anywhere aboard the vessel during public sightseeing tours.
We usually sail rain or shine. The Huron Lady II has a covered top deck and a climate-controlled cabin capable of seating up to 60. Sightseeing passengers may decide to cancel or reschedule. We would appreciate knowing your decision as soon as possible. Privately charted cruises are only canceled if the Captain decides that weather conditions are unsafe.
Children of all ages are welcome aboard the Huron Lady II on most cruises. For safety, we require that they are supervised at all times. Lifejackets are available and recommended for small children. Children accompanied and supervised by their parents are not required to wear a lifejacket. We do recommend that children wear a lifejacket and we are happy to provide them to children or adults that request one.
There are life jackets for everyone aboard and are located throughout the vessel. The captain will make an announcement prior to getting underway explaining where they are as well as other safety information.
