Love going there. Nickel is always a great time.

A significant improvement over the old Huskies when it was by Ted's, especially with the Tavern side.

The epitome of everything wrong with UConn. Though UConn has a bright and positive side, you certainly will not find that here. Expect 2-3 fights per night. This bar is affiliated with fraternities and sororities. The bouncers and bartenders have their friends and not only favor them, but will show an angry, belligerent resentment towards anyone else. If you do not have an "in" or know someone who is a bouncer there, you will be treated poorly and even be in physical danger to some degree, so be prepared for that. Also be prepared to not be able to get a drink without trying to get around an angry hoard of frat guys at the bar (standing there, not ordering drinks), who are ready to punch you just for trying to squeeze by. Speaking of fraternities: Ladies, cover your drinks at all times. Huskies used to be across the street but is now where Thirsty Dog used to be, so this is one of two bars on campus. If you are not affiliated with greek life and/or know the staff and "security," this is not the right place for you. Adults, professionals, and all non-greek students, you have been warned.

The most crowded place you'll ever drink a watered down rum and coke for only the price of a gum ball

This place is like a chest to chest mosh pit. Most drinks are crazy expensive and the ones that are heavily watered down. The place also becomes flooded later in the night from people dumping their cups of ice everywhere. Don't go here without waterproof boots and an expectation of barely being able to move around the room.
