Staff is very friendly and helpful every visit. The small store space limits the amount of products but I usually find what I need. The HY Vee meat department is one of the better deals in town throughout the year.

Less crowded than the uptown one, but much easier to find everything. Employees are all very friendly without veing too pushy.

Friendly, well-stocked, and clean, this store is a great choice for everyday needs. The one thing I'd have a gripe about would be the long wait times for cashiers, especially considering the very clear vagrant/alcoholic population in the area. I've been here multiple times to wait behind folks with a backpack buying six bottles of marsala cooking wine at a time, that pay in mostly change. This is not a problem with the store, but with the area, and it's why I leave the five-star rating. Great job, Hy-Vee, you're an awesome store!

I have lived in Mankato since 2005 and I have never been disappointed with the wonderful customer service at Hyvee, downtown. There really is a "helpful smile in every aisle" there. The other day they were giving away free sunglasses!!! And i love their gas rewards! Also a big thanks to Teresa, for being so sweet to each and every one of your customers!
