The New Hyatt Place Canton is located in the Belden Village Shopping area. Our hotel includes a complimentary breakfast, indoor pool & fitness center. We are near the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Gervasi Vineyards, Fannie Mae Chocolate Factory, McKinley Science Museum and Classic Car Museum. We are South of Akron Canton Airport. Canton has an abundance of beautiful public golf courses.

Mixed review of this hotel. On the positive side our room (double queen) is spacious with a nice sitting area and all of the amenities you'd expect. The breakfast was plentiful with the standard assortment of eggs, bacon, etc. The staff seems cordial enough; we had no problem finding the hotel (right off the interstate), and check-in was quick and painless. On the less than positive side; being right off of the interstate means that for half of the building (our half) the on-ramp and traffic are our only view. More concerning for us however is the design of the bathroom. As a family of four with two older children (9 and 12) we found the lack of privacy in the bathroom disturbing. The frosted, sliding glass door offers no sound-proofing at all, and while the glass shower offers a nice porno-style of your significant other (love you babe), it offers no place to hide should the kids need to use the restroom (which they always do). On the plus side (sarcasm), the previously mentioned frosted glass door is so difficult to open, young children will find the bathroom inaccessible without help from an adult. A on-par hotel for a couple or business traveler. Depending on your comfort level with your family members (the bathroom) probably not the best option for a family.

Biggest sore point for this location is the noise. Rooms are poorly insulated. Road noise, and guests from almost all angles can be heard in room. Inconsiderate guests will certainly make it worse. Guest room doors constantly opening and closing and the AC fan are loud as well. If you can get past the noise, consider this a 4-5 star hotel rating. Realistically, though, noise is usually a deal breaker. On the plus side... beds were comfortable, rooms clean, and hotel had a decent breakfast, minus the made to order omelets some other Hyatt locations offer.

Definitely one of the nicest Hyatt Places I've stayed in. We happened to be here on a weekend with about 100 young football players & somehow still had a nice, quiet stay. The rooms are clean & spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The pool & breakfast areas were very nice and we enjoyed breakfast more than other hyatt places.

Wonderful sink and shower. Nice toilet. Pillows were long but would flatten. Sheets were ok but the blanket seemed too short. The night table is so small, my glasses fell on the floor, almost stepped on them. No night lights or dimmer switches. The AC was very dry and sounded like a large truck was running outside your door (it's in a locked closet inside your room). Nice food area. Had a good ceased salad.

We needed a hotel where we could get away for a night. It is off 77-S, close to CAK Regional Airport,central to all types of stores and restaurants. The amenities here are great, the room is comfortable and well decorated. The stay includes a satisfying breakfast with a variety of offerings. If you like Starbucks coffee, it is hot and fresh!
