After three quotes these guys were the cheapest by a few bucks so that wasn't the deciding factor. Salesman is a very good dude and didn't try to BS us. The other two used tactics of talking down other guys' systems and false promises. Installers are extremely professional and made sure the job was done right and quickly. Replaced two systems in about eight hours total. Would definitely recommend and use again. (I hope not though!)

It's never a fun experience having to replace your HVAC system, but Ideal made the experience as pleasant as possible. The installers were really nice & polite. My new system works wonderfully and I recommend Ideal for all your heating and AC needs!

I've been a customer for about 2 years. I've been continually impressed by the professionalism of all members of the service team. The office staff is always professional and courteous. Mark H, their Senior Technician excels at his trade. His communication skills are are sharp as his technical acumen. I've always felt that Ideal provides an excellent service at a fair price. Their office texts you when the tech is on his way, followed by a call from the tech. The organization is very well run and is respectful of my time. We had a major install this year and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. Overall, an A+ organization and crew.

Update: No additional problems. The last correction to the drain line corrected the issue. The smell from running the heat resolved itself. Something must have dripped on the heating coil during the install. The Train units I purchased have been running great. Jamie at Ideal has called a number of times to make sure everything has been running as expected and that I was happy. I appreciate the follow up. Ideal granted an additional year of service which I also appreciate. I cannot recommend Ideal Services at this time. We had two units installed this spring and we've had multiple issues. Once the units were installed, we ran the heat which produced an awful smell like a rotten crotch. They looked the unit over twice and stated they could replace the air ducts. This wasn't an issue before and I'm not replacing the air ducts. Next, the drain line stopped up in the attic which shut the system off due to a filled drain pan. They had me vacuum out the drain pan that evening until they could come out the next morning. The drain pan filled back up and some water dripped onto the attic floor. This could have caused a major issue because the unit didn't stop running this time. The HS Town inspector came out to inspect the units, but they failed due to the clogged drain line. Ideal fixed the line and told us we were lucky to have the one year warranty. This shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. The tech left and the bedroom (were the attic door is located) and left the room smelling like cigarette smoke. A month later the drain line was stopped up again. The tech came back out, fixed the line and reminded us how lucky we were. The room didn't smell like smoke this time, but he left a stain on our bedroom carpet. Thanks! I called Ideal and request the owner call me back, but a service manager returned the called in which he proceeded to tell me how great a company they were and did nothing to reassure their work or provide any comfort this install wasn't going to cause more issues. Basically, purchase the annual service package (I think $250 a yr) and we'll make sure it works. If I were the owner and my customer had this many issues I would have offered something for a piece of mind. At this point we've had a few issues, missed a bit of work and the units have yet to pass the towns inspection after 3 months. They also stated they were going to clean up install on the side of the house and caulk, but that didn't happen either.

EDIT: IDEAL has made things right. They proved that they do care about customer service and satisfaction. They got my inspection done and got the rebate. They said they had a problem with their phone service and voicemails were lost. Given I know these things can happen I'm sticking with IDEAL and will continue to recommend them. Should any issues arise I will be sure to update the review. EDIT: I moved to a new house in 2017 and in March they installed $20k worth of equipment. 2 new Trane HVACs (4 ton and 2.5 ton) & all new ductwork with smart thermostats. I had a problem getting them to file the duke progress rebate. The inspector failed 2 small items, they never came back out to address it - so yet to pass inspection. Today the 4 ton unit quit working and I called for service, went to voicemail. No callback after 7 hours. I decided to take it upon myself to find the condensate drain was plugged and there was 10 gallons of water built up below the unit and the overflow protection had triggered shutting it off. I drained the overflow with fish aquarium air hose syphoned out. Turned the unit on and it filled again. I had to use my shop vac in reverse (blow) and clear out the lines. Sad that I'm left to my own devices after spending $20k with this company and still have yet to get my rebate. Also, referred them to a friend after my install. They raked him for ~1500 on a "repair" of a unit that was barely worth more than that. They purged his system, pressure tested, and then refilled. Finding nothing wrong, yet still charged him. Needless to say my opinion of this company has started dwindling. I would recommend to continue your search if you care about post-sales support. ORIGINAL POSTED IN 2012 OR 2013: They installed my new HVAC heat pump system a couple years ago and have been servicing ever since. Their techs are on time and very courteous and the prices very fair. Would definitely recommend.
