Nice hotel, the rooms are a good size but the kitchen and bathroom are a little small. The beds are stiff but comfy enough. Complementary breakfast available in the morning and coffee throughout the day. Has a nice common area to hang out in. Large parking lot available

The rooms are perfect for students attending signal school at Fort Gordon. They also have social activities and free breakfast every morning.

Feb 8th: I've noticed there has been effort in fixing the laundry rooms and machines. A member of the hotel staff reached out to me to address some of my concerns. Groundbreaking for a replacement to Ring Hall has began and will eventually resolve many of the current issues. The rating is what it is, but the new facility will probably be much better. Feb 7th: Hot water available again. Feb 6th: Hot water out in the morning and evening. Dropped to 1 star. Feb 5th: Hot water was down in the afternoon. If you're a fan of late 80's decor, faulty HVAC, and limited technology, you've come to the right place. With the projected $2 billion dollars in investment coming to the Fort Gordon area, a tiny fractional percentage should be invested in the living accomodations for those staying and training here that aren't permanent party. I arrived January 7th. The boiler for the water heater has went down three times since I've been here. Today, Feb 4th, is the third time. The boiler for the room heat went out on Feb 1st and they did manage to get it repaired within 24 hours. I will say compared to my previous stays, we've yet to have an elevator failure. The washer and dryers are hit and miss. The first week I was here, half of the floors laundry rooms (2 washers and 2 dryers per floor) were unavailable. Since then, all but one floor have been brought back online, but the rate of the machines that are functional is around 65%. The front desk staff at Ring Hall is service oriented. If you use the front desk button on your room phone, the quality of service is hit or miss. There is no mass notification of when the heat or water goes out. You would think they had a system to leave a voicemail on every phone when services break down to avoid multiple people calling on the status. Instead, you call the front desk to report the issue and they are either surprised they have no hot water in the building, or they've known about the issue but haven't bothered to let all the guests know. The Internet service is so-so. At times you can't get an IP because there aren't enough available for the number of devices connected. I know this building is old and was handed over to IHG "as is" when lodging was privatized, but at some point you own it and you need to invest in it. If you're not making enough money to cover expenses and make improvements, then you need to start charging a higher government rate until you can. The rooms themselves aren't bad, but heat, water, Internet, and in-house laundry facilities are fairly critical services for military lodging. If I were spending my own money to stay at a hotel, I would be moving from this one to a different location. The staff puts the effort in, but keeping this building functional is like a car with 250,000 miles working as a daily driver.
