I like the variety of products at low prices. Quality isn't top-notch, but it's generally very good for what you pay. We like the Swedish meatballs, which are also cheap and available quickly, and they aren't something you find at most fast food restaurants. My biggest complaint is with the carts. They can go sideways, which is nice, but they drift a lot, and turning a corner (which you have to do a lot in the maze at the store) is very difficult. It wasn't just my cart either; I heard so many people complain about them.

I've been an IKEA customer for a long time. A lot of their items are higher quality than you would expect for the price, and it'll last for a good long while. But a word of caution ... never buy something and expect you can add to it later. All the hype about modular assembly and expansion is useless. My desk finish was discontinued (so no expansion later!), then my desk line was discontinued (so no replacement parts!). The TV stand we bought 8 years ago? The whole thing has to be replaced because I cannot buy a replacement part of the same finish. The TV stand I bought last year? I cannot change the drawer layout now without changing all the drawer fronts because they discontinued that too. It's less than a year old! Great stuff when it comes to storage and organization. But total cost of ownership, especially if you expect you'll want to make changes over time, is likely higher than spending more upfront to get higher quality items elsewhere. That's why, sadly, I will not be looking to IKEA on my next DIY project.

I had a very good experience at IKEA yesterday. Amanda helped me with ordering a closet storage system and was efficient at doing that. She also took the time to guide me to the cashier area out of the maze. Next Francis was my cashier and was very pleasant and knew exactly how to process the purchase order and guide to pick-up. After I received my boxes and began to load, there was Francis again working and helping assist me and others load. She was everywhere! That is service.

OMG I am so happy there is finally an IKEA near me. I absolutely love this store! I love that you can walk around and have rooms completely set up and can actually buy them exactly how they look, just pick up the card and you're good to go. If a whole room isn't what you're looking for, no problem ... you can buy individual items as well. The furniture is easy to assemble (I can do it myself!) and very stylish and durable. If you get hungry or tired from walking BONUS there's a restaurant in the middle of the store so you can stop, relax and enjoy some amazing food!

Sign up for a family card and get a free coffee/latte!! Love this!! I always get one right when I come in, do I can enjoy it while I shop. If it's crowded, I recommend going without a cart in the showroom area. That way, you can go in each room and look around. The marketplace is at the end where you actually pick out the smaller items, so you can grab a cart after you leave the food court area. Great food by the way! Try the meatballs!! Then the warehouse is where you can get a flatbed cart if necessary to pick up your furniture. It helps to have a shopping buddy if you plan to buy a lot.
