The building really does not accurately represent the quality of the food being offered, nor the caliber of the staff within. The food and cocktails were all fantastic, way better than I had initially expected. I had the seafood casserole, and it was fantastic...and I am saying that after visiting Italy for a month. Our waitress, Laurel was also fantastic, warm, attentive and made our experience so fun. This is little golden gem I an out of the way location worth a drive to experience. Great family run restaurant in Leominster. They make their own pasta and are open 7 days a week. It was good to see the parking lot and interior packed on a Sunday evening. The portions are generous, pictured are a dinner portion of meatball and chicken parm with fettuccine. There is also a full bar complete with an extensive drinks menu. Can’t go wrong here!
The service was great but the dishes left something to be desired. My husband got the lazy Lobster and it was so chewy and rubbery that it was barely edible. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo it was cheesy but not very tasty. My mom got the egg plant parmesan and said the dish tasted frozen and had too much breading. Overall wasn't quite what we expected. The homemade noodles were cooked perfectly but the sauces were not to our liking. Huge portions with excellent bread and butter, just the main dishes could use a little bit of a twist and more flavor added besides just garlic.
Excellent food! Can't wait to go back. Our waitress was very good at making sure we were satisfied and happy.
I ordered the rigatoni with broccoli and chicken. The chicken looked like it came out of a bag from the freezer. The waitress was excellent and said the chicken is made fresh, but honestly, it tasted like wood. Also, the salad was not fresh and again, the lettuce seemed like it had come out of a bag from the grocery store. My husband's veal was good so 3 stars. Wait staff very friendly and attentive. Prices very reasonable.
I've been going to Il Camino as an adult now for 10 years and probably 15 before that with family or take out at family homes. Most recently got take-out on New Year's Eve and might have been the best overall quality and taste I've ever had. A true classic Italian restaurant with homemade food. They don't make them like this anymore!Food: 5/5
This place opened in the 60's and doesn't appear to have changed since. That's part of what makes it so great. First, you feel like you're walking into your Grandma's house. Then you get stuffed with fantastic Italian food. It's not fancy, but man, the homemade pasta and sauce is so good, the portions are huge, and the service is excellent. We received great service from our server, Beth. The food was all delicious and the prices are extremely reasonable. This is an old school Italian restaurant and you're going to leave stuffed. I hope it never changes!
Got the lasagna here and loved it. It was cheesy and amazing. Will definitely be back to try the other food in the menu. A great place for a weekday or weekend dinner and the food will not disappoint. Family owned and operated restaurant with character.
The food is decent, sauce is light and flavored nicely. Overall not a bad place to go now and then, only had one dish so can't really say about the other food. Will try again at some point and update as I try other items. The wait staff is great so thats a plus.Food: 3/5
I love love Il Camino. What happened today I'll never know. The four of us have gone there at least once a week forever, very very disappointing today. Veal way overcooked, to the point that it was burnt and very tough. Same thing with the chicken very overcooked, sauce so disappointing. About an hour and a half later when they started serving dinner everything smells amazing nothing looks the same it looked like a whole different restaurant I'm not sure what happened but I'll have to give it another try but this is very very disappointing to me
