Story

At Il Passatore, we serve meals that take you on a journey. Using fresh produce and authentic recipes, you’ll be transported to Northern Italy with each bite. Sip on a glass of wine as you relish the fresh air on our back patio. Twirl your fork into a plate of handmade pasta, or crack into a perfectly-flamed creme brulee. In classic Italian style, we prepare everything with passion. Our food creates a tale of bold flavors as rich as the culture of their country’s origin, and we hope you’ll help us tell it.

I am a bartender I work in a grand st. every 2 days I ask for delivery the food is different and has no flavor as before.Tell guy of he think he is the chef Rudy stop mixed tomatoes sauce with water. An Employee From there came over here looking for job. He told me everthing how you guys cook.I would like the other employees to worked here, come back here is better for you owner. The food was delicious. Both the red and white house wine are wonderful. The butternut squash pasta is to see for. The biggest issue is that you have to deal with Williamsburg type customer service which is mediocre at times. Employees sometimes seem more interested in their social networking more than taking care of ones needs.

Wow. What happened? I think the last time I ate here was April 2017. We returned last week. The food used to be so good! Now it's not so good at all. It's actually bad and expensive for what they're trying to pass off. The quality plummeted deeply. Dishes we once enjoyed were unrecognizable. For instance, the octopus dish... the arrangement on the plate, the cut of the octopus, the small pairing on the side, the garnishing, all different. It was served with this strange awkward romaine in the middle of the plate and bedazzled with hyper green dried parsley flakes. I ordered a $21 entree which included sad frozen shrimp in a sloppy uninspired red sauce. This place used to be packed every night (I should know, I lived above it for two years)last week we were the only other occupied table for the majority of our meal. What's going on here? It truly does not feel like the same special place. Rather an imitation of what once was Il Passatore. Unfortunate and sad. I'll probably never eat here again.

Nice small Italian eatery. Service was very good and I enjoyed the Lamb Ragu with pappardelle. Plenty of flavour, but could have been a little more lamby. The wine selection is good and there are some good wines at reasonable prices. The only downside is they only take cash.
