Scam. Do not give these idiots any money. Due your research if you want but the people (more likely a robot) calling you keep 88% of the money they collect as "cost of fundraising." In other words, salaries for the con men who run the organization. They claim to be "not for profit" but are not a 501c3 - so they are not recognized as a charitable body by the state. 

These immoral scum bags don't just steal from donors, but by clouding the legitimacy of law enforcement charities in general, they steal from the real first-responder charities as well. Real first responder chyou made arities would never call you at home, lie about being cops, or lie about "that donation last year." 

These are bad people.
