Imaginary Cakes has baked several cakes for us, including our wedding cake, birthday cakes, and “no reason at all” cakes. Our wedding cake was so delicious on top of being perfectly beautiful. I couldn’t save any! I just ate cake for 10 days straight after the wedding (no regrets). The staff is friendly but this is a very busy bakery. If you want a cake you’ll need to order several weeks in advance, but trust me when I say it’s absolutely worth it!

I ordered my wedding cake and a surprise groom's cake for my recent wedding. Staff went above and beyond from the beginning and was extremely helpful and courteous. The cakes were delicious and everyone raved about them throughout the night! I would highly recommend this bakery and will definitely be utilizing them in the future.

I had them prepare a cake for my wife's birthday day. Under two weeks notice, no problem, they were great about emailing back and forth to nail out the details of the cake. Good at knowing what questions to ask me in order to prompt useful details and also good advice and detailed answers to my questions. Most importantly, the cake was ready on time, for a decent price and it was BOTH delicious and gorgeous. My wife was extremely thrilled when she saw it and still talks about how great it was. Highly recommend.

I loved my cake by Imaginary Cakes. We set up tastings with other vendors in Wilmington, but we chose Imaginary Cakes because the flavors and cake were the best. My husband and I were having difficulties deciding between flavors of cake for our wedding and when we were told each tier of cake could be different flavors we were sold! The design was exactly what I wanted and the cake was delicious!!

I went with Imaginary Cakes for the groom cake for the rehearsal dinner. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments we received that night about that cake. Not only was it beautiful, detailed and exactly like the picture I showed them but it was also DELICIOUS!! My husband literally ate it for days afterwards. It was such a big hit at the rehearsal dinner. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and delicious cake. They were easy to work with too and I'm from out of town. They responded fairly quick over email!
