Expect to wait anywhere from 20-45 minutes passed your scheduled appointment time to actually see your doctor. Staff can be a bit rude and condescending. Good luck getting in touch with your doctor over the phone - I called wanting to speak with my Dr. about my care plan and it took over a week to get a call back. Another time it took over 2 days to have a referral letter for another physician re-sent because the information was incorrect the first time they sent it. My doctor herself is good, but the staff and overall level of service and care are pretty poor.

I brought my son here. Worst decision I have ever made! The whole point was for my son to go to the after school IOP to help learn to deal with aggression. As soon as he showed any type of aggression they called the cops and send him to the hospital. convinced me that he needed to go to full day partial care even though is was doing well in school. After a day of that he again became aggressive so they called the cops and sent him to the hospital. Instead of working on coping skills and redirection they would just send him to the ER. Waste of time and money! Do not go here!!!!

Dr. Emily Novik’s office is awful, only concerned with making more money. Rescheduled my appointment due to inclement weather (and was not informed of a 50 dollar fee), rescheduled before the appointment and got billed 50 dollars. When I called back to express my discomfort, they were not willing to help. I could not drive in the snowstorm to an appointment and risk my life to avoid a 50 dollar fee I had no knowledge of. I would not recommend this office to anyone; as they are far more concerned with money than the well-being of their patients. They responded to my concerns rudely and made me feel beneath them. I warn everyone/anyone to stay away from this office.

This place is an absolute DUMP. I initially took my son there when I first moved here to NJ because when I called I asked if the doctors had experience with Down Syndrome or special needs and my son was having some challenges. They said yes and the reception on the phone seemed nice and professional so I went. Driving up should have been my very first indicator. This place looked like an old beat up apartment complex turned into a medical office. My instincts told me this was not good. I should have listened. Upon entering the doctors office- Dr. Rau (sp) I think his name was(Indian man)- the place looked like a bomb went off. It was DISGUSTING. He was so weird, no warmth, nothing. The straw that broke the camels back was when he told me my son was "wired" this way and nothing would help because he has Down Syndrome. I was floored. He asked me what my "long term plan" was...I knew what he meant but I asked very snidely " What exactly is that supposed to mean?". He meant putting my son in a "home". He then saw how I was getting very angry and toned it down. If it wasn't for him being somewhat cordial to my son when speaking to him directly...I would have walked right out then. His "Solution" was meds. For what exactly I do not know because he never had any real diagnosis other than my sons "wiring"...but I never filled the script, left and will NEVER go back or recommend them to anyone. This guy had a degree from NYU on his wall. He needs to go back and be retrained on dealing with varying populations and given some updated ethical training not what he learned in 1960. They actually had the nerve to try and bill me for something after that. I will openly admit I did not even pay it. Tore the envelope and never looked back. This place is not just dirty but the doctor is too. Adults and especially those with children...RUN do not walk from this place.
