Dr. Allan at Impetus Physical Therapy is the #1 guy for athletes of all types in the NC area. He understands the importance of finding a long-term solution, not just a band-aid for underlying issues. He scheduled me in immediately and came up with a plan to work out my imbalances and resume training ASAP. After a few sessions and homework, I'm super happy with the progress and training is 100% groovy. If you need a PT, go see the expert.

I had some mysterious knee pain that was making it difficult to keep up with my running and the long outings I’d go on with my dog. The pain would even creep its way into everyday walking/standing. After doing some research, I decided I’d go the physical therapy route before I resorted to seeing a physician. I am uninsured and I appreciate the payment model Dr. Buccola has in place. If you’re not made of money like I am and have some hesitations because of it, I assure you it is the best money you can spend FOR YOUR HEALTH! Dr. Buccola is attentive and thorough and efficient. You learn pretty quickly that he is a huge PT nerd and that is all the more reassuring. He isn’t going to waste your time and can accommodate your schedule like it’s no big deal. Since my final visit over a month ago, I would say my knee is just about back to 100%. (Keep in mind that doing things the right way will often take some time. So do the exercises, be patient, and listen to your body.) In addition to a better knee, I have also gained invaluable feedback and knowledge about my running. I feel better, run better, and could not be happier!

Highly recommended! Allan is awesome. He worked around my travel plans to fit me in at odd times on the weekend. Very knowledgeable and professional. Thorough follow up emails after each visit filled with resources.

I have had such an amazing experience with Impetus so far!  While I have never had any experience with PT, Dr. Buccola was very personable and helped me feel comfortable right away.  He really listened to my personal struggles with knee and back pain and combined with his assessment, created a plan that fit my needs perfectly.  I have been amazed at the results I have seen within my body in such a short period of time.  Connecting thought/intention with bodily movement has changed the way I process all physical activity throughout my day and Dr. Buccola helped me get there!

Dr. Buccola is great! He really took the time to listen and understand where my pain was. I'm a runner and it was very important to me not to lose valuable training time. He was able to help me get back out running and now my performance is better than ever! I appreciated the email check-ins in between visits and he was always to responsive to any questions I had.
