First visit was a pleasure and lovely Anna helped us out.  Great selection of Pacific Northwest Writers.  Really a good vibe. As a former school library media specialist (librarian) and English teacher, I felt I was wrapped in the warm, cozy world of books!

This book store is a welcoming place for readers and writers. I have found it so pleasant I can't even imagine the experiences two other reviewers described happening here. I suppose it did, but not my experience at all.  The staff have been uniformly kind, thoughtful, and eager to share their love of reading and writing with me. The workshops and author readings are an amazing thing to have in this small town.  I can't say enough good things about this place, and my hat is off to the owner, Anna, for having created it. Having just moved here from the East Coast, I'm stunned at how supportive and welcoming everyone is.  If you love reading and are serious about writing, you'll love this bookshop.

I also had a terrible experience with children in this store. Yes I had a 2 year old that needed a nap and yes I had to chase her down the street to retrieve an umbrella she took from the store. But we returned it unharmed and were desperately trying to check out with the last few gifts on our list and go home for a nap when we were told that they wouldn't sell to us and we had to leave the store. They have absolutely zero understanding for young children and their mothers. I have been boycotting this store for years because of this experience and tell everyone I can about it.

The folks here are nice, but small selection and they have trouble getting a hold of books frequently.
