I have used in and out service for breaks, fixing exhaust and a tune-up. I was overall happy with their work until last week when I discovered my $400 break job had to be redone after just 10k miles. Another machanic took the wheels off in front of me and described the work as very poor and blamed the need for another $400 job on the previous bad job. I got a second opinion with the same result.

The truth is I know little to nothing about cars and breaks. I only know that I paid $400 and had to pay another $400 10k miles later to have the break work redone. Needless to say, I have found a new machanic.
