I just happened to be in the area...I'm not in that part of Tucson often..I wanted to know if I could exchange a drip system regulator with one that I had bought at a different Ace store..I figured Ace is the helpful hardware place.... guess again....NO...they most definitely do not exchange things from other Ace stores which is what I was told from the not so helpful "younger people" who I think work there..it was hard to tell...they all seemed to have their heads in the sand...it took 10 minutes of waiting just for them to tell me that..cause she had to make sure with the manager..who BTW was on his 2nd cigarette break just in the short time I was there.. very classy...I should of known better...I suppose it's my fault for going in when the B team is on staff...I'll shop on my side of town from now on..

On a recent Friday night, I had the “wonderful” experience of being jolted out of my sleep at 2:30am by a beeping smoke detector. Whoever designed those things to notify you of a low battery only after 2am deserves a special place in hell. The next day I stumbled into the Ace Hardware on Ina and Thornydale. I felt, and I’m sure I looked like a cast member from Zombieland. I had enough of my wits about to me ask the young lady at the register where the 9 volt batteries were. She not only told me what aisle, she actually led me there. I was looking for 5 year batteries so I wouldn’t go through this again soon. I found a 4 pack of Energizer. But Kimber, the amazing employee who had walked me back to the aisle pointed out that I’d save a few dollars buying  two packs of 2 batteries (cheaper than the 4 pack). In my bleary state, I never would have seen that. Kimber was kind, funny, amazing! And she said she’d only been working there a couple of months. Somebody should give that lady a raise! Thank you, Kimber, for helping this zombie find some rest and save some money!

Went in for a hose clamp. Person who helped me gave me the wrong size. He said I could cut it down if it was too large, but my wire cutter didn't even made a nick on it. Now I have to return it and they close at 7 pm. Home Dept was much more knowledgeable and they are open evenings.

I like going in there, it reminds me of when I use to go with my grandfather on plumbing jobs he use to do.  The staff is friendly and I always seen to find what I am looking for.

As of October 1st, 2016 hours for Sunday are 8am to 6pm and Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 7pm
