It has now been a month since my earrings were stolen while I had my color done by my stylist Marissa. I had also discussed the issue with the owner Stephen. At the time, Stephen said that he would again talk to Marissa and to the Indigo team and get back to me. Not once did I receive a call back or write me back to follow up on whether the earrings had been found or turned in. Is this the respect that a customer deserves when the customer has been going every 3 weeks to see her stylist Marissa for close to 3 years? I am very disappointed on how this salon has handled the situation. Every customer should feel safe when going to see their stylist. Clearly, this is not the case at Indigo. I have left the salon knowing that the stylists at Indigo steal jewelry. And for the stylists at Indigo who perhaps read customer reviews including Marissa, my earrings not only have a sentimental value but are also worth $800. Word of advice to current customer and all future customers: do not take off your valuable jewelry at this salon unless you are 100% sure your stylist will not be tempted to take them. It was my mistake to think that I could trust my stylist and the Indigo team.

If you are black and you don't have straight hair please don't go to Indigo for a haircut. I went to this place because the hours went well with my schedule. They only have one guy who does AFRO hair. He said 25% of his costumers are African. This is huge number for African in Burlington, so I let him cut my hair into certain style, I even showed him a picture from the internet. He said, "I can do this." It took him so long, I almost got a ticket on my car. The worst hair cut I got in my life. The first picture is how I wanted and the second is me (suppose to be the same). The backside is even worst. I would recommend you to go to diversity because they are cheaper, faster, and better.

I had my hair colored and cut by a stylist at Indigo and ended up with a horrifying experience. Story: I moved to Killington from Tulsa, OK and most women know that changing stylists is terrifying. I happened to have a friend who lived in Burlington and worked at UVM so I asked her who she would recommend. Indigo was the first salon she recommended and therefore I thought it would be the best. So I packed up my family of 5 and drove to Burlington (drive is no big deal for me since now I drive to Montreal, but for the experience, it definitely wasn't worth the hassel) and arrived at the salon at the appointment time. When I met her, I informed the stylist of all of the damage that had been done to my hair due to various incidents of chemical treatments and such; full disclosure is of utmost importance when chemically treating your hair! So I made sure to go over everything with her so that there would be no surprises. She foiled and balayaged my hair and left the process in a while. She then hurried through the remainder of the appointment because "she had a party to go to that night." I was the last one there after the chemical treatment had been done and she hadn't even shampooed the product out. She still had to cut and blow it out. After my hair was washed, she then wrapped my hair in a towel and told me to follow her to her booth. It wasn't until after she towl-dryed my hair, wadded the towel up and threw it up against the nearest wall behind the next stand that I realized a large portion of my hair had fallen out. It had been over processed. When I questioned the hair in the towel, the response I got was "Oh, I didn't want you to see that." She proceeded to brush my hair out, snagging and breaking the hair until it was all detangled, most winding up over-filling the brush. After she had done a thorough job of ruining my hair she then asked me if I wanted her to do a blow out, which I was under the impression that was part of the job! Color, cut, wash and dry. Wrong? I walked out of there after 4 hours with half of my hair missing. Yes, I am very disappointed and no, I will never go back. In fact, that experience has made me apprehensive to visit another salon in Vermont! That's why I drive to Montreal. Perhaps I should send my fuel tickets to the stylist from Indigo for reimbursement!

I've been very pleased with Indigo! They're one of the few Aveda salons in Tulsa. Renee, my stylist, spoils me and does an amazing job with my balayage. Her cuts are incredible and the styling too. It took me a long time to find someone this talented!
