If you're not Hispanic, don't bother. Or I guess, if you don't work at Fed-Mogul, Purina, Zachary, Frito-Lay, IMI or any of the other larger employers... Don't bother with this Credit Union. Find a happy bank and do your business there or you may suffer the consequences like I did. I've been working for a new construction company for around three months and we always use the branches in Delphi or Lafayette, but I had work at a couple of places in Frankfort and so... I needed to cash my check. So off to IFCU I went. It was just down the road from me and I had three checks to deposit, around $1,500. I should have known there was going to be some trouble when I pulled in with my really junky minivan and had to turn the motor off. I was covered in drywall dust and looked a hot mess. The woman on the little video screen at the drive thru asked: "And just WHO IS ____? Do you KNOW them?" "Yes! I work for them." I replied. "That's my employer. I've deposited with you drawing on their account before." Seriously? I'm cashing their checks woman. Of course I know them. A LONG pause ensued but then she was back all smiles and with a cheerful grin and told me: "OK well we're going to put a SEVEN BUSINESS DAY HOLD on these checks so we can verify them. That's TEN ACTUAL DAYS... BEFORE CHRISTMAS... WITH A MORTGAGE PAYMENT in the works... SERIOUSLY WOMAN!? It draws on 5/3 so you know it's good. My bosses checks don't bounce either. It's a million dollar enterprise. Whatever. I drove home. Well. My WIFE is a judo-master of telephony and when she hears this she called the main branch and got in touch with management. Well, that got the ball rolling and three hours later they released the money. Well... Half of it anyway. Don't know why they didn't do the whole thing but I think once the arrogant, bigoted, prideful Frankfort branch got involved they probably gummed up the whole works. Seriously IFCU corporate. You need to get some diversity training in over there or something. Just because I'm poor and white, doesn't mean that my boss's checks bounce. It just means that I work construction and my Mini-Cooper is at home. You are jerks. -Pauly Hart

not very good customer service from Tina - branch manager, has not responded to 3 emails and a voicemail. 1 star

They're absolutely lovely to work with. No fees to speak of really. They do require you to work in an industrial environment to open an account however.
