We’ll I’ve eaten here several times but this was the first less than best experience. We came in at 10:45am. They were busy for sure. It took about 20 minutes to get water then the server never came back to check on us. We did order but our food came later than the group of four behind us who ordered we’ll after us. Around 11:40am our food came and the server never offered my Hispanic friend a refill. I’m sure some of this could be from just being busy yet it wasn’t the next of experiences.
I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and it was huge, especially for the price. It was delicious and filling. My husband got the teriyaki mushroom burger and it was a standard size and he says it was just okay and that he will be getting something else next time. We ordered the chicken tenders for our kid and he liked them. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food, and the staff was very attentive and made sure we always had enough to drink. We will be coming back here on our next trip to Indiana. Edit: The hours on google are not accurate and have not been since 2020. Hopefully they'll be back to full hours soon, but as a warning, they close at 3pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Also, lots of kids menu options, including standard ones such as hamburgers and chicken tenders. High chairs are available and in good condition. The food and service was really great. The hand breaded tenderloin was huge! I got the fried chicken salad and it was really great too. We got there 30 minutes before they closed and they were very kind. We didn't feel rushed and our food came out very quickly. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.Food: 5/5
Four of us enjoyed our breakfast. Restaurant was very busy on a Sunday morning but service was good and food tasted great. Waitress kept coffee full and was attentive. I will definitely come back. Parking: Plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Roll on in!
A place my step mom likes, always ate here after church.the food is good, it's a little out of town because of the construction. Hopefully that will clear up in a few years. Anyway, I usually get the salads, but I saw a rueben sandwich and was not bad, I've had better ones but its worth a bite. Burgers and fries place check it out its actually worth going here. Wheelchair accessibility: My step dad who is wheelchair bound was able to get in.
This is a family owned business south of Indianapolis. We try to stop there anytime we are in Indy. We always stop for breakfast, so I can tell you it is always good. Nothing fancy, just a good old family owned business with great food. I couldn't give it a 5 star on atmosphere, just because it's casual dining.Food: 5/5
if i could give this place 0 stars, i would. the wonderful home style atmosphere was corrupted when the place was sold. the food is mediocre at best. the phrase if it ain’t broke don’t fix it comes to mind when i think of this place. waitresses are friendly and service is good but not worth the food. if you’re thinking of stopping here, think again. choose some place that deserves your money.
French toast was like a wet sponge, waitress spilled fresh hot coffee down my leg. The response I got was "oh" no sorry or anything or any napkins to clean myself up. Place was pretty empty but took 30 mins to get cream and sugar so by that time the coffee was cold. Used to be my favorite place to eat, but my next trip home I'll pass on coming here to dine.
In town for family reunion and needed something to eat before hitting the road. Steak and eggs were fantastic. Chicken gumbo could have used more chicken one little piece but had fabulous flavorFood: 5/5
This was my first time here, and I was full of anxiety, like anyone would be. Once I was there, all the regulars as well as the staff were welcoming, and I felt like I was back home at grandma's kitchen! I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends going forward. "... get a liquor license for bottomless mimosas! And Bloody Mary's! Grandma and granddad ain't gotta know what's in the drink!"
