Great local grocery store, especially the meat department; I really think they have the best meat in the area. One of the best parts is that there are small packages for those of us who only have 2 to cook for. The Laura Lynn brand is usually a great sub for more expensive name brands.

I usually love Ingles and it tends to be my go to store but I had an awful experience at the register today. My partner and I decided to lunch at the Cafe and as usual the Deli checkout was unmanned, so we went to a register up front. The clerk, a young woman whose name tag read Melanie, did not greet either of us, ignored our attempts at polite conversation, ignored us when we asked the food not be bagged, and then put the pizza slices into a bag UPSIDE down thus allowing all the toppings to fall off the slice and onto the box top. She also put the rotisserie chicken in sideways and all the chicken juice puddled in the bag. As we were eating at the onsite cafe we ended up using knives to scrape the toppings off the cardboard and back onto the slice. Even when my angry partner called her an idiot she still did not speak to us or acknowledge us in any way. Not to apologize, not even to argue. If she were not mobile I'd suspect some form of catatonia. My brother would have simply said she did not care - although he would have used a vulgar colloquialism. If we come back, we WILL NOT be using this young lady's register for sure. As it is we may use an alternate Ingles from now on.

I find household tools (grill pan with a handle, metal nutcracker, lawnmower oil!) at my local Ingles when I can't find them anywhere else. Therefore, Ingles is awesome.

My first visit to Ingles, ever. While visiting a friend, she shops Ingles weekly. What a delightful store. Its neatness, food displays, and attiveness of Ingles personal was enjoyable and refreshing. The produce is crisp and fresh, the meat carved to perfection, and checkout swift and friendly. My only regret, your not in my state of Florida. Impress on Ingles...Impress on. Regards Kent VerMeer..
