The IRS needs a real  telephone number (not a recording) with a real person to answer simple questions.  Are certain forms available there now?  When will pub. 17 be available? etc.  Not for specific in depth  tax questions.

Can you give less than 1 star.  I received a letter telling me I had to go, in person to the IRS office to prove my identity because my idiot CPA got his system hacked.  I spent two hours with a very unfriendly woman who told me I would get my refund in 9 weeks.  Six months later I called the IRS to find that no record of my visit to the Orland Park IRS exists !!!  No wonder everyone hate the IRS.  Well deserved.

These people get paid to sit on their ass and press print but even then they're too stupid and lazy to actually help people. Worst experience don't even bother coming here. This place is a joke and no one wants to help you. I really wish there was a way to report this place because the people who work here seriously will turn you away and don't care about helping you. I wouldn't even give this one star.
