I don't know why it took me three times to learn not to use these guys.  The first time they thought the furnace was fixed but had to send the supervisor the next day because it wasn't really.  The second time, they charged me for parts they didn't use (which I realized after going through the bill carefully) - they did refund the difference after I called and argued with them.  The third time, Jerry installed a new water heater, but he didn't tell me that he had left a serious leak.  I found the leak later and called him that evening, and he told me he couldn't fix the leak and that I needed to call a plumber.  I called Halco and they fixed it easily the next day (but of course I had to pay for a new service call.)  I should have called Halco first.

Looking to get your furnace fixed? You'll be waiting, if you go with these guys. And while you're waiting, you'll be accruing an $85/hr charge after an initial $90 Service Call, maybe a $120 cleaning fee you didn't authorize.

I took the day off because our furnace was running, even when the thermostat was off. Scheduled it for a few days out. The technician gets here, introduces himself, then gets to work. While on my time, I was paying him for his breaks and the trip to the shop to get ($) parts, which didn't even fix the issue.

Next day, we try and get them to the house, which at around 5 p.m. a tech allegedly came out, knocked, then left... We had someone home without the TV going, reading a book, and a dog that will bark if the door creaks due to wind. It wasn't until my wife called at almost 6 p.m. that she found out he was there? Poor customer service. Didn't ring the doorbell; let alone call the number provided.

An appointment was made to swap out a part that was recommended (not required), which I didn't want replaced because I didn't think it was the issue... Sure enough, I get home and the ($$) part didn't fix the issue either. But they still justify the replacement as necessary because it "was on its way out." Although, the whole point is that I didn't want to pay for something that was still operational AND NOT THE PROBLEM.

After the bill was getting frustrating and nothing could be done about the half-hour charge from when the tech left the job site to retrieve the part (reminder: did not fix the issue), I have decided to work with Isaac Heating and Air Conditioning, which offers a free second opinion diagnostic check.
