Just had my favorite breakfast this morning the Chicken fried steak and eggs it was perfect, the restaurant was busy but still had great and friendly service even Pam the owner was servicing the tables, not just waitressing but what ever it took to take care of the customers. Keep it up Pam and keep that Iowa hospitality going! I will be back!

Went there for a late breakfast and it was very busy. Our waitress did the best she could all the while being corrected or diverted to other tasks by the manager(?). The food was OK; the portions were large but pricey,  almost too much to finish. They should get a couple more waitresses and have the manager stay in the office!

My wife and I tried this place today for the first time.  We are from the the midwest so we are familiar with good home cooking. We have been in AZ for 16 years now. We were greeted by Terri who also was our waitress. She was excellent , very personable. My wife had 1 egg scrambled, toast and home fries and bacon. I had the chicken fried steak. Our service was perfect! The food was hot and delicious ! We were really impressed, and Terri checked on us while eating and kept the coffee filled up. Nice cozy place with warm atmosphere. We have been to many places in the east valley for breakfast and this one is up near the top!! Ignore the negative reviews, trust me. My wife and I are picky picky when it comes to going out to eat. That's why I give 5 star.

Being from Iowa myself I was so excited to eat at this place! My husband myself and 3 grandbabies all went. Waited for a while to be seated and it was not busy. Our waitress was short and no personality what so ever. We get our food and the first attempt was not right for one of the meals and I did not get everything that I ordered. Not too mention our food was ice cold. My husband ordered the corn beef hash and said he has had better hash from a can. you The children's menu have no prices at all. When we get our check we had paid 7.00 for one pancake and 1 piece of bacon. Needless to say I do not recommend this place. This is not even close to being a representative of good old Iowa cooking. Shame on them.

I like this place i come here when i can and the service is always friendly I've never had a problem.  Sometimes when busy, it gets real busy and servers do their best you just got to be patient.  Other than that the food is really good and the people are nice.
