Very very poor support system when a student needs help with works. Sometimes they 'll call back in couple days and the student ends up having a pile of over due lessons. My daughter only relies on this 1 teacher and when she tried to reach room teacher, she said she doesn't understand because not her subject. If you look for home schooling , make sure you know they have great supports when your children need help. My daughter hated it and cried every single day ... she's in public school now and happy than ever because the supports she gets

OMG, Connections Academy is the best choice I ever made, I finally have school spirit, lol, Connection's has amazing teachers, that are easy to contact, and check up on you all the time to make sure your okay, I webmail (Connection's version of email) them if I have a question about my lesson for that day, or about a project, anything, and they get back to me within minutes!! I can also call them if I choose, Connection's even does LiveLesson, which is where your teacher can't see you, and you can't see her (sometimes teachers put up a webcam of themselves, usually not), and she (or he) presents slides about a lesson, and talks, LIVE!! XD The rest of your class in in the LiveLesson as well, and you can type any questions in the Chat pod!! It's like a brick and mortar environment!! They have tons of electives as well, and a bunch of clubs and activities, like EVERYTHING, I think they have at least 20+!! They even have a directory, to find people your age, in your area!! The only downside is, for like, field trips, since the school is for all of Iowa, a lot of times, they can be held far away.... But if you live in a major city, then you will be close, lol, If your considering this school, and have any questions, Connections Academy holds online info sessions with parents of students, the website should have more info, I recommend it to EVERYONE, There's also In person Info sessions!

Perfect fit for our needs.  Best thing we ever did.  No issues with teachers.  Wide array of courses.  Our only complaint is not the school's fault, especially considering the school is very young and the state government isn't exactly accommodating.   Socialization was difficult as we are rural and couldn't get to school events.  If we lived in a more populated area and closer to field trip sites, we'd never have left IACA.

DO NOT GO TO CONNECTIONS ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!
My teacher called and started yelling at my mother and I about how my moms "not doing her job and teaching me" (that makes sense, right.) my mom stands by my side every day and makes sure I do everything right. It is not good for teachers to make assumptions about what students do in their own home.
