Iron Horse Cocktails
"Inspired by the rich history of the most elegant street in downtown San Francisco, we have created a retro style bar and revived its historical name, Iron Horse.Originally opened in 1954 as Iron Horse Restaurant by famous Bay Area restaurateur Leo Giorgetti, it was one of the city's top dining and drinking spots for over 20 years, favored by celebrities and political figures, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Liberace.Marilyn Monroe and hometown baseball hero, Joe DiMaggio, had their wedding reception here. Thus, Iron Horse became the first-rate city destination for anyone hoping to see and be seen and we strive to keep this tradition nowadays."

The atmosphere and the ambiance was beautiful- brick walls, lanterns and wood made you feel like you were in a very cozy space away from the craziness of the city. Not only is the staff friendly but they make incredibly delicious, well balanced and unique drinks. My first time here and it’s officially one of my favorite spots in SF. If you’re a mezcal lover - highly recommend their drink “some like it hot” passion fruit & citrus with a spicy sesame seed oil on top is out of this world! But tried a few others and you can’t go wrong with any of the drinks on their menu. Overall wonderful time, thank you for a memorable experience!
Amazing drinks, service, and decor. I love the atmosphere. Definitely going back here while visiting San Francisco!Food: 5/5
Gone are the days of busy town, SF has been slow. They survived COVID and now it's more of a local bar. Still prices pretty much stayed the same and they still chill their cocktail glasses. Slavic-owned bar so there is a possibility of meeting eastern European people here. Cool spot. Happy hour till 7pm.
Had cocktails on New Year's Eve at Iron Horse Cocktails. I used to go there when I was in my 20s about 30 years ago and it was great to see it is still there and still the same comfortable local bar I remember. We had a great New Year's Eve celebration with friends and I would recommend everyone who wants cocktails try this place and Maiden Lane is a beautiful gateway to Union Square
I am super exited that I found this really cool bar hidden on Maiden Ln allay. It’s open at 7:30am Monday-Friday as coffee shop and after 2pm turns into speak easy craft cocktail bar with happy hour 2-7pm. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I had Negroni that they age in oak barrels. Absolutely delicious. Beautiful decode. Has mezzanine level and super clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend and will be back soon.
- Coffee, drinks, and great staff creates a great experience - Once very famous bar among celebrities in the Bay Area, you can still get great drinks there. By day, you can get coffee, at night some very nice and quite strong drinks. And thanks to the bartenders - they’re great.
The worst espresso martini I’ve had in my life. Did it even have coffee in it? Maybe a little for some color, but not enough for the taste. The color was also off, looked more like a caramel soup. 14USD/cocktail
The Iron Horse is a must see SF landmark if you're in town. And a great neighborhood bar if you live here. It's a very cool bar with a great history, even better cocktails, and some Insta worthy scenery. The staff is great and the bartenders are really talented. And if you're in need of a coffee the next morning, they've got you covered for that, too. Just inside the door they've got a small coffee corner with the best lavender latte I've ever had. Definitely go check it out, I can't recommend it enough!
Pretty little place with a selection of unique but expensive cocktails. I really enjoyed the presentation of the English breakfast but found the taste hard to define. The espresso martini was quite good with the right amount of sweetness. The long goodbye tasted pretty much like lemonade.
We had a cocktail event here with our team and it was lovely. We had the upstairs room above the bar and were able to cater external food from Tacolicious and enjoy Iron Horse’s cocktails. Our team had a great time and the team at Iron Horse was very helpful and professional. I worked closely with Angela and she was great. We will be back!
