I first learned about Islam by going to The Islamic Center Of Corvallis. They gave me a free English copy of the Koran. Some members gave me Islamic clothes. There was a member that helped me move when I was changing apartments. The women's Koran teacher did a good job of translating the Koran lessons into English for me. However, I'm disappointed that no Arabic classes were offered. There is an Islamic Center in Portland that does offer Arabic classes.

i am spiritual not religious i am white american do you think i should come some day to a mosque ? would i still be a equal even though i was not born a muslim ? if i eventually converted to it would i be ok  equal ? whats the term the house of the muslim or something ?
