Very peaceful and spacious masjid right on the junction of Harrisonburg and I81. When ever I had a chance to come or cross this area I stop by here and specially for Friday Prayer.

Great place to stop and pray during traveling on I 81. When I visited at asr time on a weekday, it was closed.

First and foremost all praise is due to Allah Subhana wata ala the creator of everything in existence, and everything that has ever existed or will ever exist!!!! I'm so thankful for this Mosque especially in a conservative city like Harrisonburg. Although, the leadership in this Islamic center is inherently unorganized and unorthodox in the sense that the Khutbas or sermons are always delivered by random people. It is a tight squeeze but very much worth it if you're able to visit. There are some sectarian challenges in this community, but they are nominal. I've been attending this center for over 5 years. I know a lot of people here, I've never had any issues with anyone. Strangely, this Mosque doesn't teach Quranic Arabic or offer any incentives for members to learn how to read, interpret, and recite the Qur'an in it's original Arabic which is very strange. You should be able to go to a Mosque to study the Qur'an. There are heavy interfaith coalitions in this center plus an abundance of opportunities to collaborate with other faith communities on community projects. You can get involved if you truly want to. I highly recommend you visit this Mosque if you're in the area. I don't recommend relocating to this city specifically for this Mosque. Geographically the I.A.S.V is gridlocked so I don't envision any expansion for this center but Allah knows best. Plus the outlying areas are out of space as well. It's nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, and with any valley you run out of room to develop and grow. Very competitive place to live and worship bring your best talent with you. If you want to find parking COME EARLY. Carpool if you can. Space is limited. Salaam Alaikeum Warahmtuallahi Barakatoooh.

Came to this Masjid again, and there is a major change inside it. All the book shelves with lots of Authentic books, really brought me joy. Al-Hamdu Le-Llaah for this Place.
