In September of 1998, the Muslim families living or working in the Northeast Valley got together to discuss the possibility of building an Islamic Center for this community. This dream soon became a reality and thus Scottsdale Masjid was established.
ICNEV held its first Jumaa Prayer on September 8th, 2000.

The Muslim community in the Northeast Valley with the Grace of Allah established an Islamic Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. The objectives of the center are as follows:
•Provide religious and social services to all Muslims, render help to any person of similar persuasion in adapting to the Islamic culture and provide channels of understanding and communication between Muslims and the Arizona Community in general.
•Organize activities and provide opportunities for the spiritual training of its members in accordance with the teachings of Quran and the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
•Engage in the propagation of Islam (Al Dawah).
