What a find! I was told this place is mostly food from Trinidad, I’m no expert on food from the Caribbean, but it was bomb. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and everything was cooked to perfection. I also loved the sorrel take on a hibiscus infusion, sweet, spiced, refreshing. We got the jerk chicken and the shrimp roti, mouth-watering. They were out of the corn soup ; I will come back for it though, I hear it’s amazing.

This space was so lovely and the food was delicious. It will be a part of my memories forever. I loved the presentation and the roti skin was so delicious. I would definitely come back here. The sorrel was very tasty. Overall I had a phenomenal experience.Food: 5/5

WOW! DELICIOUS! + THE BEST HAPPY HOUR 12pm - 7pm !!! Stopped in on a whim and so glad I did. Amazing Jerk Chicken wings, the Trini Corn Chowder was a spicy yet rich knockout. I cannot wait to come back to try even more authentic island dishes. Latoya - you doin it right! :DFood: 5/5

I’m so happy to have island shack in the neighborhood! I ordered takeout for dinner when they first open and the oxtail stew had me hooked. Recently went back and dined in their super cute little dining room. So charming and cozy, perfect date spot or girls night. Honestly the jerk chicken was probably the best I’ve ever had! Super moist and would love to douse almost anything in that sauce. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

The food took me back home without a plane ride . I had the bake and shark and pineapple spicy pot , when I tell you  it was so flavorful . Took home a jerk chicken meal was delicious. The owner is such a sweet lady I definitely will bring my family here
