I was traveling last Thursday and had a miami connection. While roaming the terminal I stomped upon Islander grill by my gate D6. I had some time and decided to go in for lunch. My Ribeye was great and during the wait Jeni made it fun. Great experience overall!

4-5 star prices, and the experience didnt add up. Good mixed drinks, does the job waiting for your flight. But more than likely nothing will change because its in a airport by a gate so the demand for it is there no matter what rating

I just watched a worker put on rubber gloves, pull a bag of spaghetti (presumably his lunch accidentally discarded by a fellow co-worker) from a garbage can, then wash glasses at the bar without washing his hands or replacing the gloves used to dig through garbage.  Garbage juice that dripped from the spaghetti bag as he pulled it from the can is still pooled on the beverage cooler.

I've really enjoyed sitting at the Bar ordering food & drinks being accommodated by Tyler. A great guy he is! I'm a 10 secon walk from my Terminal.! Big Plus as well!!   I will be back!
