Exceptionally clean and we'll maintained. Parking is a bit pricey if you are visiting for a week or more but  if you want bathrooms, drinks,showers and up close to the beach it's worth it. During summer months it's busy. Best time to go is morning hours as afternoons get crowded. They sale extra items you may have forgotten for the kids. i.e., boogie board, goggles and such. Also ice cream. Best part is you can bring your pet as long as they are on a leash.

Great location and easy access to the beach. With the showers and dressing rooms, this is a wonderful place. Some weekdays in the off season, there is charge for entrance (normally a fee per vehicle).

Awesome beach park. Clean restrooms, showers, and changing areas too. Volleyball court (sand) and a playground for the kiddos. Limited parking on busy weekends. Great option to rent beach chairs and umbrellas if you don't want to haul your stuff to the beach or if you're visiting. I love all of the Charleston county parks :)

Good place to park and go to the public beach. The facility is small but adequate. There is a bathroom, changing rooms, outdoor showers, a few public grills. 
There isn't much in the way of shade, and I wasn't too impressed with this section of beach. 4 stars is probably being generous, but it isn't really the park's fault.

The beach can be very busy, but the size of the beach can handle the crowds. It costs 10-15 bucks for parking depending on the time of year, but it is an all day parking lot. You can even leave and come back as long as you have the receipt. The set up of the out door showers is AFTER you leave the sand which is perfect. They even have our door changing areas which is very handy for some. If you go I would recommend the restaurant right off the beach called Caribbean Jacks. Great food and atmosphere.
