I LOVE this place and so does my family. Great vegetarian options. Everything is so fresh and delicious. The owners are great people too and so warm. My favorite restaurant in Morgantown currently!  P.S. all of the merchandise in the photos is hand made by one of the gentlemen that runs it. On slow days, you can watch him make it. Love it.

This was a really good find while we were visiting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was also good.  As an added bonus, one of the owners makes really cool jewelry necklaces, bracelets, rings.  Would certainly recommend eating here, particularly if you like authentic Mediterranean.

If you eat nowhere else in Morgantown, you must eat here!  Best Turkish restaurant I've ever had.  Don't miss the combo appetizer hidden under the vegetarian heading.  It is a combination of almost every appetizer.  See the photo with small bowls.  Very generous servings. Perfect seasonings. This place is unbelievably good. It is definitely a sit and relax and enjoy your meal type of place. They even treated us to complimentary Turkish tea after the meal. I've had Middle Eastern food in many places up and down the East Coast and had never found anything quite like this experience. Don't miss the handcrafted jewelry. BEST PLACE EVER. Great quality, great flavors, great environment, and OUTSTANDING staff. In my numerous visits, I have only had incredible experiences with this Istanbul Restaurant. You will not regret stopping by! My mom and I are from Montréal so we are no stranger to all types of diverse cuisine; yet, each time we eat here, she is positive it’s the best food she has had.

We stopped for lunch on our way through town on a long car trip. The welcome was warm, the atmosphere transporting, the food and service excellent - absolutely outstanding experience! Highly recommended for devotees of the Mediterranean diet, plenty of vegetarian options. Chill vibe, interesting and varied menu, world-class hospitality. We ordered too much food intentionally and took leftovers home to Cincinnati to enjoy tasty echoes of our memorable lunch. The börekler will haunt my dreams. Shepherd salad, İmam bayıldı stuffed eggplant, hummus, all excellent!

Absolutely one of the best places to eat in town, a hidden gem. I asked the chef for his recommendation and he suggested this, I’m not sure what the name is but it was amazing lamb wrapped in bread and covered with a spicy sauce and yogurt, it comes with rice and a salad under the yogurt. I highly recommend getting this entree. The staff was very friendly the gave me a fee cup of tea while I waited for my takeout order to de cooked.

Istanbul Restaurant in Morgantown is a place you must go for Turkish food! Mohammad, the owner is outstanding and the staff has the best customer service ever! The food is divine, delicious and the prices are very, very reasonable!  What a wonderful Turkish gem in Morgantown!!! It's a Must!

The chicken shish and cheese Borek were perfect! I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic Turkish food in Morgantown. The service was excellent and the people are kind . Finished off a delicious dinner with a nice hot cup of tea.

Absolutely amazing.  Had jalapeño hush puppies, lamb gyro, and house falafel.  The hush puppies are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, they’re the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and they make them fresh.

The food here is excellent! We got the lamb gyro dinner and the appetizer sampler. Some of the best dolmas ever - perfect ratio of rice to grape leaf. What we particularly noticed was how light the food was,  yet we were stuffed and could not finish our dinners! Perfectly spiced.  We also ordered the Turkish tea, bc I saw a review that said it was good, and the super nice waiter explained that he needed to make a fresh pot, and apologized bc it would take 10-15 minutes.  That is an example of how personable and friendly the waitstaff is, and how much they care about the quality of their food. Part of my 5 stars is specifically due to the waiters!  And oh my goodness! It's *chocolate* baklava! Definitely eat here!!!
