Good solid food. Meaning, don't go if you are on a diet! They make gigantic burgers, lots of fried stuff and Mac and cheese. Current favorite of a friend; Thanksgiving Sandwich. Yep, everything you might be thinking of is served open-faced and covered in gravy. She said it was 2.5 meals for her! They have a great beer and wine selection. Fun atmosphere, a bit raucous at times. Always consistently good food.

This is the best bar in Ithaca. Great atmosphere, service and food. I asked John the manager if we could have our wedding after party there. He was very receptive of the idea and actually gave us a bunch of wristbands to hand out to the guest so we could get happy hour specials. He also put out a huge platter of samplers for us. It just happened there was an amazing musician scheduled that night also and we danced the night away. The bar was full and there was no problem getting a drink as the place is very well staffed. It was the icing on the cake for our wedding, and we are not going to pass Ithaca again without going in for a burger and and a beer!

I want to give this place 3.75 stars but I know that's not a thing. I like the Ithaca Ale House. It's unarguably the best place to get a good/unique/tasty burger in Ithaca, but every time I go, there's something that happens that leaves me feeling a bit irritated. I haven't been able to put my finger on it but there's just something about the service or the other patrons that bothers me every time. That being said, the burgers are worth going for. It's my goal to try each and every one and I'm well on my way. Usually I can't finish it all and I end up taking it apart and making a "burger salad" with the over abundance of toppings they give you on the burgers. If you're a low key person who wants reasonably priced good American food, go to Ithaca Ale House.

We decided to check this out after spending a day on the lake. It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing! This is a great place to have lunch, have good beer, and watch some games!

Great selection of beer, had a burger, flatbread and I had the fish and chips. I'm a fish and chips guy and usually try it if I see it on the menu and it's recommended. It was GREAT. One nice huge piece of perfectly fried haddock.
