A nice bar away from the college crowd. But karaoke night is a pretty awful time if you do not show up already drunk. It numbs the pain of hearing drunken singers screaming Eminem into the micAtmosphere: 2/5
Ivy Inn holds the specific position of being the only bar in Princeton, which is quite something given the town's large collegiate presence. You'd expect more central nightlife options in such a locale, but alas, Ivy Inn is it... Despite being the only choice, it's not just a last resort; it's a genuinely enjoyable place to catch a sports game and hang out with friends. The food is decent, and their house draft beer is a steal at $2, though calling it a "robbery" might be more apt given the quality! The biggest drawback? They only accept cash. So, remember to bring enough, or you'll find yourself paying extra ATM fees.
Feels like a German beer pub with the outdoor benches. There are no pretzels, but you can order pizza to your table. The beer you can get in the inside at the bar. The place is cash only, , no credit card is accepted. Parking is on the street, spaces are limited. At the time we visited the place a bingo night was running, it was nice.
Nice enough bar, but hosts an absolutely dreadful pub quiz - only had one guy asking the questions and also the same guy grading the answer sheets, so it takes over 2 hrs. Questions also extremely niche to the extent that I have no idea who is getting them right. Food was pretty good but absolutely massive - pizzas could easily be shared by 3, and nachos between 5 or 6. Food service was slow, but may be because it was busy with the neverending pub quiz
Fun place. Outdoor seating is awesome as the inside can be a bit... cozy. Bartenders are great, generous pours, reasonable prices. Food is okay.Food: 4/5
The last remaining dive of Princeton. There’s a touch of collegiate alumnus here, but the real locals you’ll find here. The food is actually insanely good here though. Some of the best bar food I’ve ever had. They outsource the kitchen to a separate restaurant basically. The only place also you can grab a drink past 10pm in town.Food: 5/5
I want there for the first time on karaoke night sang a few songs. Loved it the guy running the show was one of the best. I'm 75 and still have a great timeService: 5/5
A great place to grab a few drinks. They are quick, attentive, and the place has a comfortable feel to it.Food: 5/5
You can't find a good, happening, cheap place, then this in Princeton. Friday nights are full on. They serve rolling rock beer every time at 2$ only. Must visit.Food: 5/5
Far from the urban scene I'm used to. Music needs help from the current era. That said, it's a solid place to land that treats ppl with respect and good vibesService: 5/5
