Everything about our experience here was exemplary. They accommodated us arriving a little late for our reservation, and despite it being a Friday night we didn’t have to wait long for our food or drinks.  Speaking of the drinks, the cocktails here are excellent: the old-fashioned was particularly good.  The food was just as good, if not better. The meat of the main courses was tender, slid right off the bone, and was complimented by fantastic sauces.  If you’re looking for a place to take a date or relax with friends over great food in Knoxville, this is it.

My girlfriend and I went for our anniversary because we'd been talking about going for years. I'm a fool for waiting so long. The service, atmosphere, and aromas were outstanding. The actual meal was unlike anything I've ever had. It was a stellar evening and honestly the best dining experience of my life.

This was a gem of a find on a long roadtrip.  The food was fresh, creative, delicious, and portioned well.  The customer service was outstanding. The general manager, Adam, really made the experience one we will cherish. His care and dedication made it feel like we were part of something special. This is an exceptional, caring restaurant with a brilliant chef and great food!  We plan to return to Knoxville just to dine here again.

We enjoyed a birthday dinner in a party of 6. Food was outstanding but the attentive service was the highlight of the evening. We lacked for nothing at any moment throughout the 3 hour meal. From snacks to small plates, pasta and large plates all were Michelin Star quality.

Generally, good food! The atmosphere promises more than I experienced on the flavor profile. Appetizers interesting and presented wonderfully but somewhat lacking in flavor not enough seasoning. The same with the entrees which were good but could have been better. Their stuffed chicken was perfect but the sides, again, under seasoned. I was disappointed to hear that they don’t serve espresso; I think they aspire for fine dining but the execution isn’t there yet. Flawless Manhattan and impeccable service though. I’d be curious to go back but after a while once they change a bit.

Excellent service. Healthy flavorful unique dishes. Flavorful Town food. Get the hush puppies, salad, shrimp. Seasonal menu items. Charred pea and arugula salad,  roasted bone marrow was amazing, scallion hushpuppies & BBQ onion applies, crispy potato with salmon roe best thing ever. The food is so good that these pictures are not edited.

Hands down the best meal my wife and I have ever had. From the service to the food, everything was amazing! We started with the smoked bologna sliders, then had their bolognese pasta. Our main courses were the Ribeye and the Braised Pork Osso Bucco. We finished the meal with the Panna Cotta with fresh berry compote. Our waitress was amazing, and the atmosphere comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Regional food redefined and refined.While there are some item misses,the overall dining experience was stellar.Well curated wines,super tasty cocktails and exemplary service  special shout out to Adam and Hayden! Ribeye was  must visit

JC Holdway is an awesome place to get dinner and drinks. The people, vibe and food is awesome. Highly recommend trying it at least once and you will for sure come back!

This was our first time here. Our server, Kennedy, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The food was excellent. We had oysters and smoked fish dip, arugula salad, and Bolognese before the entrees. I had the pork osso bucco pictured and my wife had the NY strip. We should have allotted more time to dinner; we had to skip dessert to get to a show.
