We hired J & D to do a what I concidered a small carpentry job or finishing about 5 ft. of handrail for some interior stairs.  The handyman did a great job in about 3.5 - 4 hours but the bill of $800+ dollars was shocking.  Job was completely miss estimated, owner said it looked like a couple of hours.  Quality work but very, very expensive.  Be prepared to pay!

I tell all my friends and family to use J&D Handyman and have been a repeat customer for over 10 years. I have witnessed with my own eyes the high quality work and how professional they are. I referred them to a friend who told me there was a nasty comment on here and I was shocked! I just had to put my 2 cents in by saying what a shame someone would have such foul comments about such a great company. By the way, the owner has answered the phone for me too and I personally appreciate a family owned business that still believe in a personal touch no matter how much they grow! I will recommend them to anyone who asks me,that is for sure. I wouldn't take the word of someone who claims the BBB is bad? J&D is bad? Is there anything that this angry consumer can say that is good? Doesn't sound like it. What a shame! Do yourself a favor and ask around. Clearly someone just has an ax to grind.
