Story

J&M started over 40 years ago by Maria Carwithen, Joseph Matkowski and Michael Matkowski siblings who started their business as a plant stand selling greenhouse and nursery products from Florida. About 35 years ago they purchased property in Madison, NJ and have continued to build J&M into the family-owned enterprise it is today!

Continually growing and changing J&M has come a long way from the plant stand on the side of the road, expanding to offer services and products in Home Furnishings, Clothing and Accessories, Floral and Event, Landscape, Nursery, Seasonal and Greenhouse. Our creative teams include some of the top professionals in their fields, and work collaboratively with each other to create new and innovative designs for your home, gardens and special occasions. Our featured products are from select vendors all over the world, and are brought together in a unique, coordinated presentation that complements and enhances their value and inspires the shopper.

J & M is bigger than you see driving by the plant selection and garden art is outstanding. The home decor and funuiture suits all price ranges. Worth the trip to see the selection.

First time I went here...well laid out, I dealt with at least three employees and they all were very helpful and wonderful.  Check out person offered to wrap my plant since it was a gift and it's so nice.  Huge selection of everything.

We cannot say enough good about Erin! She did an amazing job with our wedding flowers and centerpieces. She understood our vision for the and did a phenomenal job bringing everything to life. Thank you so much for everything you did for us!!

HIGHLY disappointed. My co workers and I planned a going away party for our boss via Skype. We scheduled to have the flowers delivered at 11:45 via the website. The flowers were still not there by 12:15 so my coworker who made the order called at 12:15 and asked were the flowers were. My co worker was hung up on 3 times and finally when she got to someone they said that the flowers would be there in 10 minutes. The flowers were not delivered until 12:32 and what we got was horrendous. It looks like the flowers were just stuck into a mason jar. I understand that on the website it says that the arrangements may not look exactly like what is in the picture due to seasonal arrangements however there was 0 care and pride for work put into this arrangement and was NOT 65$ worth of flowers. The flowers themselves were beautiful but they were literally just cut and stuck into a plain clear mason jar. There was nothing about this arrangement that reflected the messages that we wanted to send to our amazing boss. I wish that this did not happen. I have attached a photo of what we ordered via their website and what we received. As you can see, the arrangement looks NOTHING even remotely similar to what we had ordered. It doesn't even look like a bouquet. It looks like somebody went into their backyard, cut the flowers, stuck them in a jar and said "Here".
