Terrible terrible experience with jmac. Never again..ever! Crew of men using loud profanity and even parking their trucks ACROSS THE STREET in my neighbors driveway? "Ah dude theyre not even home man" New roof placed directly over HOLES that weren't repaired I come to find out. Water leaking into the house! Then when I call the "nice office man" I'm told "The leaves caused your leak"- but what about the $7000 new roof that was put on. WHY WOULD it leak now? Ahhh isn't it a NEW ROOF and the area leaking was supposedly "double ice guarded"? and hey we also bought the nicer shingles I said!!. I then Paid a diff contractor to come investigate - he showed me EXACTLY what they did AND TOOK PICTURES TOO!! Then a spot in the FRONT OF HOUSE starts leaking and he finds MORE Shotty WORK. More money flys out of my wallet! Never again.

They put a roof on a three-story colonial at a competitive price, did it quickly, and did a quality job. (This is the fourth roof I've bought in the last three years, so I'm familiar with what a good job looks like.) No last-minute add-ons except one section of gutter which couldn't be saved and needed to be replaced, which they did at a fair price. I asked JMac for a quote on another property I'd just bought that had a lot of water damage on two bedroom ceilings. John at JMac told me he thought it was old damage and that the roof was fine, it was only about 10 years old. I got a second opinion from Jilek Roofing, who quoted me $6175 for a new roof. When I questioned Jilek about why it needed to be replaced, the guy said the granules were wearing off. We chose to believe JMac and fixed the ceilings without replacing the roof. No leaks.

The guy who runs the facility is great. Nice guy. But the workers are less than average. Each night they left they left shingles, nails, and other debris laying around. And while I understand that they may keep packs of shingles on the roof for when they return, they left them in other areas of the roof where they are completed with the part of the roof. I say this because they just installed new sky lights in the house and a pack of shingles fell on the sky light. There are black scratches going down the glass now from the shingles. There has been a terrible high wind advisory the past two days and there is now debris all over the development. If the guy who runs it wasn't so nice, I would be giving them 1 or 2 stars.

I called them on Wednesday, and they said they'd have someone call to set up a time just to make an estimate. By Monday, after repeated phone calls, they had still never followed through, so I called another roofer who finished the job within an hour of my call. Basic customer service tip: act like you want the business. Two stars instead of one, because they at least answered the phone when I called them.
