A real family diner open since 1933! Love it! Great old school music that transports you back in time. Great prices, service, food and ambiance. They also own the Keno's off La Palma! Another great diner we like to go to!Food: 5/5
If you're planning a visit to Jack's, be prepared for a bit of a challenge finding parking, but trust me, it's worth it. Despite its popularity, we were seated fairly quickly, and the service was top-notch from the get-go. The staff were all friendly and attentive, creating a pleasant atmosphere for enjoying breakfast. Now, let's talk about the milkshake, it was an absolute delight! Not only was it delicious, but they also give you a generous portion, making it a sweet treat worth indulging in. As for the food, the Eggs Benedict were a classic choice and executed perfectly. And let me tell you about The Country Steak Panini, it was simply amazing. I'd highly recommend trying it; you won't be disappointed! To sum it all up, my experience at Jack's was fantastic. Despite being bustling with customers and filled with activity, the restaurant managed to deliver excellent service and delicious food. No complaints here, just a satisfied customer eagerly anticipating my next visit.
Didn't give full stars because of cashier. The food was great, and our server as well. Nothing too salty and nothing overly sweet. It was the right amount of perfect. The only thing that killed the whole vibe was the cashier. She was very talkative to people ahead of us but when it was our time to pay she didn't utter a word, didn't even acknowledge us. Just took the card. Even after saying thank you still no acknowledgement or saying a word to us she didn't even look at us. Makes you wonder what the motivation behind it was since she had no problem giving CS to those before. Mind you it was my first time there. Overall the food was still great.
Fun ,fast and 1 of my favorite places to eat when I visit Whittier . Great food and dessert. LOVE the atmosphere kinda a 1950ish vibe. Good serviceFood: 4/5
First time visiting restaurant. Service was fast. They have many selections of food plus dessert. Pretty Cool building and interior. Food was okay my burger and fries were cold. Banana splits are amazing plus they have souvenir shirts and a magnet. Very friendly staff. I'll try again next time I'm in the areaFood: 4/5
Decided to try this place because it had good reviews and it was nearby. Maybe this place is meant to be for breakfast only . Our lunch was not the best & they served my son raw chicken in his kids meal. Now I get to spend the rest of our trip worried he’s gonna get food poisoning.Food: 1/5
Food is 80% amazing, depending on the chef of the day! Be mindful when eating the chicken tenders, some don't always properly cook in the middle for whatever reason. There Ranch is super good, it's my favorite, buttermilk ranch. There asada fries are to die for, the portion is amazing and so is the flavor! Majority of everything you have to order individually, which makes it a little more pricey, but the food is overall good and the atmosphere is usually good, unless they are short on staff or super busy.
One of the best breakfasts while visiting Los AngelesWhittier's Jacks Restaurant has been around since 1933. Old school diner feels. Google maps certainly finds these gems i never knew about. So many bookmarks, so little time . Nostalgic feels, friendly service and the wait to get a seat here is worth it. Ordered the Meat Lovers Skillet that has bacon, ham, sausage, scrambled eggs & home fries topped with melted cheese The side order was the best though... Biscuits with country gravy was the star of the show for me. Ill be back again when in the area5 stars.
Spent most of my conscious childhood in Whittier, and some of my best memories are here. Took a girl I was interested in here and she asked me out the same day: we’ve been dating for almost two years now. Great steak dishes, corned beef hash, breakfast burritos, pancakes. I know my dad’s been coming here since the 70s, and if his English was good enough, he’d agree.
The sausage, cheese, and avocado omelet was delicious! The side of gravy and fresh biscuits was more than I needed, but I'm glad I didn't pass it up!Food: 5/5
