Story

Jackson’s Steakhouse procures only Midwestern grain-fed beef from the heartland of America. The Proprietor’s Cut and fresh, local seafood are hand-selected and artistically prepared to perfection. Jackson’s great steak cuts stand tall with the superb flavor of wet-aged beef that is like no other thanks to the culinary creations of Executive Chef Irv Miller.
Over the past decade, Jackson’s Steakhouse has earned the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator nine times. Also, as a nine-time consecutive recipient of Florida Trend magazine’s Golden Spoon Award, and now Hall of Fame recipient, Jackson’s Steakhouse is considered one of Florida’s top 25 restaurants and is placed by the Distinguished Restaurants of North America in the top two percent of all fine dining restaurants in the country.

My stars are for great atmosphere! The service was slow but very polite. I ordered a 49 dollar steak (magyu New York strip) medium rare. Unfortunately, it was medium well to well done. You can only blame the cook, but it tasted like a hamburger. Come to a cookout at my house and you would forget about these "steaks". I would recommend taking your date to the food trucks down the street!

Jackson’s is often considered the pinnacle of fine dining in the Pensacola area for good reason. The food quality is immaculate in taste, preparation, and presentation. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a luxurious romantic dinner or a high profile business endeavor. The service, however, is the most outstanding attribute of this restaurant. With obviously well-trained staff holding high respect for you, themselves, and the restaurant, you are guaranteed to be catered to your heart’s desire with a level of customer service unparalleled in the Pensacola area. Someone planning a dinner here should expect to spend significantly more than they would at most other restaurants in the area, however this is certainly the best choice of restaurant at its price point and absolutely worth every penny.

Brief summary: not that great. Why? The food: it’s fantastic. Everything is well prepared and tastes great. 10/10 for quality of food. The service: leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter returned to tell us that they didn’t have any of that particular wine left. We chose another bottle, and he also returned five minutes later to inform us that the second wasn’t available either. We gave up and ordered wine by the glass. We also had to remind the waiter bring out appetizers and bread. The bread didn’t actually come until after we were served our main course. Normally I would not complain about these types of things, but when you knowingly overpay for food, you expect excellent service. Jackson’s simply did not deliver during our visit. It’s very possible that the restaurant had a bad night, but you don’t get to present yourself as one of Pensacola’s best restaurants and have service like this. Considering the quality of the food and the service while compared to the price, I give it three stars.

There aren't enough positive words in the human language to describe my love for Jackson's, but I'll try. Everything here is amazing. The most tender steaks in town hands down, drinks that are fabulous, and the absolute best service!

Discovered something new... My family has always thought of Jackson's as a place for special occassions like Anniversary dinners & such due to the high cost worthy of their high quality meals. However, we recently went there for lunch. The prices are reasonable; much more affordable & still very DELICIOUS! It's no longer just for special occassions, but whenever we want to treat ourselves. What a great place.
