Worst service ever, wanted me to pinky swear to get my friend to go to dialysis the next day. I stated back he had a dead toe and missed dialysis 2 time's this week, plus he has a bad infection in his body. He tried to go to dialysis today and they called fire and rescue and he had no choice at this poice. I'm reporting the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue to the city council. Pinky swear are we kids?
I'm sure some of the JFRD employees do good work in their fields, but this building seems more like a college frat house than the location of an important service. Most of JFRD seems to be "bros" -- they hang out in front of the building, and the surrounding area, being very loud and obnoxious. There is a group of black women who stand by the steps screaming. I don't know why they feel the need to be so loud, but they cannot seem to speak below a screaming volume. The behavior exhibited by the JFRD employees makes me feel less comfortable knowing they are supposed to be the ones saving people. Jacksonville should really teach its public employees how to and how not to act in public while on the job.
They left me at the scene of an accident with a broken collarbone. They offered zero medical attention and were more concerned about how much the ride to the hospital would cost me than escorting me there. So there I was, at the scene of an accident with a totaled car, collarbone and shoulder, no medical attention, no way to get to a hospital and why? Because my head was covered with a scarf/wrap so they wrongfully assumed I was Muslim. Needless to say, discrimination is alive and well. Thankfully my injuries were not life-threatening, if so, I would have certainly died.
I have been transported against my will. I was directed to sit down on the stretcher to briefly be checked out… Then, I was strapped in, loaded into the ambulance, and told that i was "locked in" and had to choose which hospital I wanted to go to. I stated that I did not want to be transported and did not need medical attention. This is not the first time the paramedics have tricked me into accepting their assistance. they would not even let me grab my wallet and now I am stuck miles away from my car with no money for a cab. I am walking to my car. it's very upsetting that they care more about sending the bill rather than helping the patient.
I had an electrolyte deficiency and was experiencing paralysis. Instead of a stretcher, I was transported to the ambulance in a sheet. It was beyond ridiculous the unprofessional and rude behavior I received from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
I called and told them they needed to bill Medicare and Tricare if they wanted paid. They only billed Medicare and now I have a collection co. after me to pay. All this since April!
Had a friend from Minnesota call because she was concerned about my covid symptoms. They called me and showed up at my door. I'm quaranting. Thank y'all so very much. Very kind men. I don't need hospitalization. I thank you so kindly for checking in on me. Thank you
I was helped today by JFRD at hugenot beach. While I was swimming I was knocked against the rocks and was bleeding and in pain. Life guards and ocean rescue was very helpful and responded very quickly, I am grateful to have been helped.
