All you can eat! Located on the second floor. Food are fresh. I don’t know if this is traditional Thai hot pot but full houses means good for the public. Although this is all you can eat, only one run food make me so full. lol
The best hot pot place in NYC, and probably my favorite of all the hot pot places ever. The only Thai hot pot place that I know of in the city as well. It is AYCE and the prices have gone up over the past few years from $19.95 until now $34.95. Thank you, inflation. But it is still worth it. And it is CASH ONLY, which is slightly inconvenient, but still worth it. The broth is always so delicious. I always stick with the Tom Yum and Jaew Hon broth. They are both spicy and flavorful. Some days are more spicy than others. The beef is good quality and fresh. I especially like the fish filet and calamari. To dip these in their amazing spicy lime sauce - just divine. Since Covid, the customers are no longer allowed up to the veggies and rice stand. But the servers are quick with getting me what I need. I love the morning glory which none of the other hot pot places has. It is perfect when soaked in the flavors of the Thai broth. Another unique item is the unlimited garlic rice! My husband always devours this. Even though the place is small and the menu items are not expansive like some major hot pot restaurants nowadays, the freshness of the ingredients, the flavorful broth choices, the delicious sauces are more than enough to keep me and plenty of other from coming back. I always enjoy my meals here. It was worth the trek to Queens every single time.
So far the best place for authentic Jaew Hon. It's the only place I know that serve this hot and spicy soup and it's wonderful. My husband is not good with cooking food on the table so the restaurant let us order Thai food from a Thai place downstairs! So we had a variety of great Thai food. It was a great night and well worth the money.
Authentic Thai hotpot. All you can eat. Meat is fresh, but you can expect high fat. You can choose types of soup you like. Cash only.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoCurbside pickup: No
I love hot pot so all you can eat is always a plus, great decorations and atmosphere but the place is very small, not a lot of food options, . unfortunately when I went it was really crowded, it was hard to get pass by whether to bathroom or get food.
My first meal in New York but it’s also the best food I had in New York. The soup is so flavorful and the sauce is even better. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Definitely coming back again! Highly recommended if you like Thai food or hotpot.
jaew hon new york thai style hot pot in queens thai hot pot hits differently than other hot pot in the city. the soup, especially the pink one made of fermented bean curd, is so flavorful and it is a must order! the meat and all other ingredients are so fresh and have a wide variety. another best thing is the sauce: all spicy and full of authentic thai flavors. i would go to this place whenever i crave thai spice and true taste. it is ayce and the price is ~$30 per person.
nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. However, for the $27 price tag, i prefer places with higher quality meats, such as 99 Favor Taste, and several others. for example, no lamb. 2 beefs, 1 is ok, the other kind of though . vegetable wise, they didn't have my 3 hotpot favorites - taro, spinach, winter melon and corn. : one thing that was really good however was the shrimp and calamari. Overall a good experience, but i feel overpriced based on the selections which isn't quite in the same category as other places in this price range. i give it 3.5 stars
I love Jae Hwon. I ate here 5 times now for the past 2-3 years. The service is top notch. The food is so tasty. The soup base is just enchanting. Everyone should try their Thai Iced Tea cause it is the bomb!
We visited NY and stayed at Hilton/midtown. It took us almost an hour to come to Jaew Hon in Queens. What I have to say is that it was worth it!! The restaurant was on the second floor. It had so many options on the menu to order. This restaurant is a buffet with time limit for 90 mins. We were here on Sunday at 6.45pm and it was not too busy. The food came out a lot on each order. I usually eat a lot,but couldn't order the second round.
