Story

James J. Sullivan School is a historic elementary school located in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1929–1930. It is a three-story, eight-bay, yellow brick building on a raised basement in the Art Deco style. It features an arched entryway with terra cotta trim and pilasters, a terra cotta cornice, and brick parapet.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

I think its a disgrace that the teachers and aids have no control over their students. I live 1 block away and cant sit outside cause the kids scream at the top of their lungs all day long, it seems recess is all day long and no adult supervision. When I went to school we were not aloud to scream as if we were being murdered the whole recess periods. Seems the control has been lost...instead of running all over screaming why don't they pick up all the trash that blows from thew school yard to my street. Some days Ditman st is just littered all along the school no one ever picks it up even tires at times. Schools sure have changed...a disgrace

Schools horrible my son get bullied at lunch cause there not being watched it's sad hes been in school less then two weeks and got into 3fights same kid!

In this school 7 of my grandkids came to study and I never had a bad experience with teachers staff. I'm grateful because they help 3of them with special classes do to there slow learning problems. I and my family give this school a 5 star. We are proud of James j sullivan and the teachers.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I went here from First Grade to Sixth grade. Except for one teacher I really liked it here. No problems at all.
