Food was good. Meatloaf and chicken fried steak were just okay. The mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome! Our daughter got mac & cheese, which was the boxed stuff. We wanted to love this place but the locals got all the attention. We sat waiting for refills while the staff waited on their friends.

I'm an employee and also a customer at Jan's. The pies are great. A huge selection with over 90 recipes. Selection varies daily with classic recipes as well. You can order one slice or a whole pie! We also make pies specific to your needs. We can add ingredients or remove ingredients according to your needs. If you need a pie that's diebetic friendly or because someone has an allergy to certain ingredients, we are more than willing to accommodate those needs. If your not satisfied with your order for any reason, let us know so we can correct it and make it to your expectations.

We tried Jan's based on the reviews and we very surprised and disappointed. They must do a better job with breakfast because dinner was not good. There were 5 of us and we all had something different so had a really good chance to sample the menu. We sat ourselves and a young man came up to ask for our drinks order. He seemed bored and didn't greet us, much less smile. He needs a bit of training on his customer service! Waitress was very nice and efficient. Our salads did not look fresh as there was a lot of tired looking lettuce. I had chicken fried steak which was pretty tasteless and not very good quality. (tough) The breading was good and the gravy made up for it a little, although none of it was very hot. The mashers were terrible - cold, bad texture and had clearly been made many hours before. They were also badly in need of salt and pepper and a lot of butter. My mixed veggies were either from a can or the freezer - ugh. Our 11 year old had the fried chicken sandwich which he liked but said the fries were "terrible". Our vegetarian had the veggie burger and also gave it a thumb's down. (Fries too.) Another had the fried chicken dinner. The chicken was good, although it looked over done to me. She had the same bad mashed potatoes and the same reaction. My last guest tried spaghetti and meat sauce. She asked for extra sauce which they provided, but again, there was little flavor. Noodles were cooked properly. The last shock was a bill for almost $90 including tip! (Only one beer was ordered, so it wasn't alcohol.) If you're going to charge $15 - $18 a head, you better be better than

Pretty solid breakfast. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful. *Personal preference- Hash browns we're not cooked enough.* Service was good, they were packed to capacity and food was delivered in a timely manner. Coffee was delicious and my cup was kept full. All around no complaints.

Very nice and reasonably priced restaurant. Looks like it is a family run restaurant. Great staff. Food was great.
