I Love working at Jefferson Financial and Its a Great place to work!  It's fun, laid back and busy! A lot of everything! I Love the people I work with as well. I also love how they suspect fraudulent activity on your account and you get notified through text, email, and by phone. If you need a really good Credit union to have an account at come to Jefferson Financial!

Edited Review:

My former review rated them at four stars; I had some minor complaints (length of time waiting on hold when I needed help) but nothing serious.

Now I am rating them at one star.  The reason?  A local merchant screwed me on a Visa Debit transaction and Jefferson Financial refuses to file a dispute on the transaction, claiming that I do not have the required documentation.  I have spoken with Visa themselves, who tell me that I do have ample documentation, and that the merchant is in the wrong, but that the issuing financial institution needs to be the one to initiate the dispute.  Jefferson Financial refuses to do so.

I have spoke with three different people, two of whom knew less about the Visa rules than I do, while the third refused to file the dispute unless I get the merchant (who has thus far been completely uncooperative, hence the need for the dispute!) to issue me a new receipt for the transaction.

I have filed complaints with Visa, NCUA, and the CFPB.  Visa is unable or unwilling to help me but promises to "investigate and educate" both the merchant and Jefferson Financial.  Have not yet heard back from NCUA or CFPB.

Will be closing my accounts with Jefferson Financial regardless of the outcome of the regulatory complaints, as I do not feel that I should have had to escalate a simple transaction dispute to this extent.  The contrast with other financial institutions is telling, most of whom file disputes without question as long as their customer has a modicum of paperwork and a decent chance of success.  In this instance despite Visa saying I'm in the right Jefferson Financial refuses to help me.

Had nothing but problems for them as soon as my CD' s mature I will be closing my accounts. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Love this place! Rather than having to pay for a checking account, they have checking accounts that pay YOU! Can't complain about the loan rates either. The best place to have ALL of your business!
